I am very much into cycling. Mostly off-road, commuting, leisure rides with the family and exploring the country on my bike. Not a fan of road racing. I would be keen to maintain a thread on that topic here if there is enough interest.

Used to cycle everyday, to school, errands, hangout with friends (Raleigh Chopper, then a ten speed racer later). Now only on weekends in the park (folding bike). Would like to increase frequency, good exercise, low impact, sustainable.

1. peppi, sinkie roads are not suitable cycling.
2. there is simply kosong provision made for cycling or the cyclist.
3. honest, it is some death zone for the cyclist once he starts his bike on the road here

Agree, stay off the roads during the day and go at night or very early morning instead. Much less traffic and much cooler.

There are plenty of other places to cycles though. The infrastructure for tarmac and off-road cyclists has improved tremendously in the past few years. You are not forced onto the road anymore.
