Incredible, this taiqi move, I agree. Wtf! Even if the toppest civil servant has prepared the paper, surely we dont expect a Minister to just accept it simply and endorsed it in Cabinet without a solid critique and scrutiny. What are they as Ministers for? Might as well elect monkeys and donkeys! We only need to pay peanuts and grass.

You will never find this happening with Old Man or Dr Goh Keng Swee or Lim Kim San. How times have changed and the quality of PAP leaders.

Why are all senior civil servants and ministers are not able to sense the ground in drafting and finalizing this white paper? Because their salaries are already out of this world, and they no longer live amongst the average Singaporeans. They live in exclusive bukit timah landed property estates, drive big cars along smooth flowing holland road to their peaceful office in istana, and eat at exclusive restaurants without the crowd. Their high pay made them aloof and out of touch.
