SAF will get more and more active in America's wars....................last time only offer medical help now training Afghan security forces.............later will help to patrol territory captured by USA.................later may join NATO forces even attacking some Arab country..................that's why another reason so little muslims in Army now................

Probably not so much for ASW then to protect shipping lines and probably meant to support the littoral ships/green water navy when SEA eventually gets contested given that China now has potential to extend their reach outside their normal envelope.

Especially amongst the waterways in our area which are fringed with lots of islands. The option of having ASM onboard would be good for smaller targets especially surface ones, not sure if its the R version though.
