Youth Finds iPhones 'Uncool'

The iPhone seems to have lost its appeal among youngsters as they are tired of the same look and no innovation in the phone.

Since creating a buzz worldwide with its first iPhone way back in 2007, the same tried and tested formula used by Apple has made it boring for the younger crowd. Not just has there been no change in design except for a few changes in the body and screen-size but even the iPhone name sticks to the same old formula: IPhone, iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S and so on. The standard black and white colour scheme too does nothing to endear the iPhone.


Admitted, the iPhone is more about use and less of looks, the software is stellar but hardly have there been any breakthrough software innovations in the iPhone since its launch, except Siri. And with the disaster that was iOS 6, users are preferring to shift to other platforms or not upgrade their older versions.

Not only do Apple products come at a cost, but they are also high on maintenance. And with newer models coming out every year and lack of updates for the older models, too, discourage buyers from purchasing the iPhone.

News reports recently revealed that Apple has cut down on its component orders by almost 50 percent creating rumours of the decline in demand for the phone.
