One reason the PAPzis referred the AIM saga to an investigation is that it becomes an offence to bring it up in a manner that might interfere with the investigations. A convenient move in view of the calling of the by-elections soon after.

WP will therefore not be able to dwell on this at length without getting into serious trouble, even disqualification. We are not bound that way. So, please remind all around you about the PAPzi's creeping corruption, and their efforts to stifle discussion.

Remind all also of their efforts to distract us from our AIM by throwing in salacious details of Prof Tey, Ng Boon Gay and Peter Lim.

Frankly, the AIM issue does not resonate with the vast bulk of people offline. Those who would know about the issue and take it seriously would already be diehard anti-PAP voters, and so the issue would add nothing to any non-PAP party.

Only parties who are disconnected from the ground would think this issue is of significance to the ground.

The finer details of the issue may be beyond the majority of voters but the essence of having to do business at the largesse of the PAPzis is not.
Many business people have spoken of predatory GLCs who try to edge them out of markets, domestic and foreign. These people also say that the normal rules of business don't apply because of the overwhelming control the PAPzis have. We can use the AIM saga to crystallize and exemplify these grievances.

At least, let's try.
