WP Apologists Excuse....

Damned if they do, damned if they don't. Anyone bitter and hateful enough can spin anything in any way to discredit their target, but it doesn't matter. No one that matters would actually buy that crap.

People hate WP because their party branding has been the most successful. That was why Wayang Party Club went on the offensive in 2007 in a brazen fit of intra-party politicking and SDP was dragged into the orbit.

I think it was deeper than that and I don't think branding is the primary reason. There is a small group of JBJ loyalists who felt that LTK and company had led down JBJ in his hour of need. These supporters either left or were marginalised by LTK and the new team. It was over the lawsuit by the PAP Indian MPs. Many went over to SDP where they involved in the intrigue that led to Chiam's ouster. This is the group that is behind the Wayang Party noise.

I understand that from a multi-racial party it has become a Chinese party as the lawsuit was over an article written by an Indian CEC member in Tamil. The distrust of the Indians became unspoken but a known divisive issue within the party leadership. I think one of the things that is not well known is that the PAP could have easily liquidated the party as a whole but did not do so. Thus the constant referral to party B with chosen individuals helming it. Also in mind that old man went after everyone involved with the Hammer as in Ops Spectrum.

Whatever the wounds seem to be still raw .

Using Mr Goh M S as an example,I would like to think that politicians as any human being, are all selfish, whether they claim to be holy or otherwise, the day should come when the world has to do without politicians and police men,is that possible?well,“信则有,不信则无”.

Later I found out that WP was keeping tabs on GMS because he was pulling members. True enough, one year later 4 WP members left WP to join GMS. And you wonder why there is bad blood.

I wonder who are the four. Surely cannot be the intelligent type. Why would they want to follow a leader like GMS?

Haha... I didn't know WP was so insecure and has to "keep tabs" on me... Hahaha!

It is a total lie to say I was pulling members from WP. I have never initiated a concerted effort in doing such thing. Many people left WP after GE2006 on their own accord and most probably they saw the same problems. Chia TL and James Gomez left, definitely not because of me. Wai Leng and husband left because of LTK and YSL, even though Wai Leng finally joined me. I do not even need to try to persuade them to leave and join me! In fact, it was after this couple left WP that they finally see the light that they have been totally misled and minds being poisoned by sweet talkers with daggers behind their back. Salim and another cadre left, on their own as well. Then it was followed by Nazryn whom I was briefly introduced just before he decided to call it quit from WP. It is only after these people left and they started to compare notes among themselves, they finally see the light. And I have absolutely nothing to do with their departure from WP. I approached them after they left, trying to understand what's the main reasons behind. It is really a big shame to try and put the main problems of the inability of WP to keep their people to me. That's not just incompetency but delusional.

On the matter of party membership, I will always on the look out for fresh ones; those who have not joined any party just yet. It is not my style to go poaching people from other parties. I could say 100% of the time, it was people from other parties who approached me after they faced problems with their own parties. It is pretty sad to think that WP has such mentality. Instead of reflecting on where has gone wrong with its own management style, it would rather self rationalize its loss of members due to other people like me.

All I have written here are hard facts, hard truth for WP people and these can all be verified by approaching each and every individuals who have left WP. The only reason why four ex-former WP members agreed to join me in NSP is because of my sincerity to provide a platform for their political sanctuary after their departure.

Many of those candidates and members who contributed to WP's GE2006 success in re-branding itself have left WP. You will just have to take a quick count of how many of those 2006 candidates left in WP to verify it. It cannot be just pure coincidence or that I have so much influence over all of these people to make them do so. In fact, if you check with many of these people, I have instead encouraged them to stay on instead of leaving. But it seems that they would rather take the red pills eventually.

Well, it is not my job to teach or remind WP on what went wrong. If WP carries on its present path, the slippery road of decline will just be round the corner I bet.

No lah that's not true. GMS was sidelined by LTK after GE2006 and he knew he didn't want to remain longer. The trigger was the flame war in the old delphi SBF that resulted in the WP leadership sending out a directive that CEC members cannot post in forums in their real names. GMS and CTL left in a huff.

Then, why you poach so many members from RP and sabo RP, just weeks before GE2011?

Assuming there is a multi-cornered fight, 3-, 4-, or even 5-cornered fight. Wonder how these opposition candidates are to organize their campaign? In a one-to-one election, you put all your energy to tear down the opposing candidate and party, in other words, the PAP. In a multi-cornered fight, you would have to devote at least 60% of the campaign against the other opposition parties. For the PAP it would be 100% and some opposition parties which are desperate to prove they are the better ones, this effort would also be pretty high. Don't for one think that the effect of such anti-campaigns on the other parties have damaging effect only at this BE. The impact would be far reaching further down the line. How can it be good for the Opposition?

In fact, TSL was so happy to jump on this and commented that a multi-cornered election was a good thing offering more choices to the electorate. He seemed to have a small point, except that I would wish to see more very successful ex-PAP MPs join in the fray as independent candidates. Mr TSL must agree with me that these candidates are even better choices than what the opposition could put up.

Whether there is going to be a BE in Pungggol East, a straight fight or a multi-cornered fight, today is the last day of the year. We should say goodbye to 2012 and welcome the New Year 2013. In fact I would look forward to Election 2016 and celebrate with the following Election Song:-

Wish all SBForummers a very Happy and Prosperous New Year.

As I have stated very clearly, the connection to the ex-RP group was only done AFTER they left RP.

The standard strategy is to simply pretend the other opposition party doesn't exist, which is probably the right thing to do so as not to legitimize the other party. Treat it like a straight fight between themselves and the PAP. If asked by the media, simply pay a little respect to the other party and quickly change the topic.

Under no circumstances should anyone send their wife up to cry about the other opposition party... we've seen how that worked out...

The standard strategy is to fire at everybody else, especially in a 5-cornered fight where your deposit is at stake.
