Affairs are really no big deal in this age and time.

That's what heartlanders have told our Ground Zero columnist, over two days after Mr Michael Palmer quit abruptly over an extramarital affair on Wednesday.

By-election? Nope, the heartlands seem more abuzz over the "affair", curious to know more details about the illicit relationship.

And this interest is the same whether you live in Punggol East SMC or other spots, as this Heartland Aunty has discovered on her jaunts around Singapore, including Woodlands, Ang Mo Kio and Clementi.
