During my trip to Kaoshiung, Taiwan, I visited this very impressive Monastry. It is not just a Monastry, but more like a Monastry Complex. It is high tech, and also with outlets like Star Buck, 7-11, restaurant (vegetarian of course) etcc...

I am impressed very modern and Buddhist!!

Is a must go if you visit Taiwan, whether you are Buddhist or not.

Most Taiwanese are superstitious to the core! They will believe almost anything you tell them.

It is not just Taiwanese, or for that matter any other group of people. It is only human to want to believe in something, to have 'faith' in something, especially in some higher supernatural power. This need is real and strong, even among supposedly intellectual types. The only difference among different groups is the object of their belief, with the choice of object differing widely, depending on their cultural 'taste'.

But ultimately, it makes no difference what flavour one chooses to 'believe' in. The desired results depend soley on the workings of the divine gift of the human mind alone. And therein lies the secret of religion.

yeah, Taiwanese are like that...........but Buddhism is always telling people not to be superstitious and that in truth, there's really no such thing called Buddhism.

And the Christians are now laughing at us instead. We need to do something fast before we are overwhelmed by logical arguments from these nuts.
