SINGAPORE - Police have arrested three 12-year-olds suspected to be involved in a case of mischief by fire at a multi-storey car park.
On Nov 6, police were notified that a group of students were playing with fire at the top-deck of the multi-storey car park located at Blk 513A, Bedok North Avenue 2.
As a result of the fire, the outer casing of a fire hose reel was damaged and the walls were blackened.
The suspects were arrested on Monday, and investigations are still ongoing.
The offence is punishable with a jail term which may extend to 7 years, and a fine.
In a statement, the Singapore Police Force advised parents to remind their children about the severe consequences of committing such potentially dangerous acts.
