None of the above. They are Goh Meng Seng, Leetahbar, and a few people Ram called buddies but who deserted him the moment the sky turned cloudy. One of the earliest hoaxes was concocted by his drinking buddy -- the very chap who led Ram down to the path of liver failure and caused a real demise.

Let me say this - when this forum was under attack by arseholes while under Delphi and Sam was indeed struggling it was GMS, Ramseth and Lockliberal that fought the good fight. Walt Howe understandably had no clue and was regularly baited using political incorrect comments as basis of their complaints. These very people are now with a one particular party and now crying for freedom. Ramseth who seldom took sides came out fighting and with GMS and both were bedrock of principles. i do remember those times. Except for a few, the rest were holding on to their balls completely lost.

I have no time for GMS since he took the present path but Ramseth and he had a very deep and interesting bond. I could not help but notice that they read each other's minds. I am sure Ramseth would understand why he made those comments. It is to bring things back to equilibrium.

I wonder if any forummers that only knew him from this forum went down to the wake to pay respects. It is kind of weird to pay respects to someone you don't actually know personally i suppose.

No problem with anything you said here. To be a little more precise though, there were two sides that were fighting in the old delphi, and one side was obviously very much more cunning and deceptive and made use of the other sides' stupidity to bring down the forum. People like Bob Sim and kojakbt was caught in the middle and they were also made use of to bring down the forum.

Goh Meng Seng and Ramseth were the 0.1% you mentioned who understood what was going on, and pointed it out many times to the deaf sheep in the forum.

Ramseth was unique. You would think he rubbed people constantly the wrong way, but he had more real life friends from more walks of life than most forummers. Go figure. That was who he was.

For some of us we saw it fitting to toast him with his favorite beer, he would also I believe have been man enough to know that GMS did not mean any ill in using him as an example, his choices were his, but he would not In anyway have wanted any of those he drank with to go to the extremes he did.

I am told that though his last post was in May, he did keep in touch with the forum until June/July until he was unable to do so. This tells me that for a man who is gregarious and never want to miss out on a discussion, he must have realised that the end was near.
