So you fellas still can't define what is Swiss standard of living?
So you fellas still can't define what is Swiss standard of living?
Can ask this fellow to define:
"Tiger Tiger burning bright
Watching you is sheer delight"
You too were a shining light
Now you're simply out of sight.
As u sit there in the night
Thinking 'bout your current plight
Don't expect u to start a fight
And face the horrid oldman's might.
Despite advantage in height
The wooden one, was once his slight
Even in your mutual blight
You would forgive the unkind spite.
U aimed to be whiter than white
And everything u did was right
It's a good thing all were tight
And the people, not so bright.
Perhaps now's the time for some respite
Maybe pause for a small bite
Even if u're not contrite
What on earth is tripartite?
As u ponder your own fright
Thinking when to time your flight
It's clear u will not put things right
Perhaps better go fly a kite.

Do you understand GDP?
These people park and spend their money, not work here. So how can they be part of production?
BS, you un-blur on wealth parked here (ill gotten gains?):p Also, Mynmar army top guns are well ensconced in Sentosa Cove. Speak of bare xmas tree back home in land of Shwe Dagon.
And to add to yours on labour productivity: How many blokes needed to fix light bulb? I bangla up, with another ah neh downstairs holding the fort below. Throw in 1 supervisor, smoking away in pickup nearby watching the proceedings.
In OZ, you get driver cum-tourist guide rolled into 1 (with PA system). In these parts, you have the obligatory tour guide standing up and holding on to front seat
Australia has done well..It's the envy of many countries.
You can't blame them, they have been spoon-fed since young. For them, living in Australia will be 'bad' because they have to do everything themselves. No mummy, no maid, no daddy's money, they really have to be independent. They are too used to the Singapore nanny system, government does everything for you, govt protects women with law without them laying a finger, government gives out cash divdends to you and more. Not like Australia, you might have to build your own house, searching for houses not as easy as searching for HDB and the MP in Australia is never going to entertain the requests of placing in good school or any others. Naturally, they left. Only the tough and independent nuts stay and eke out a living.
As for spoon-feeding in Singapore, yes, that is the environment and perhaps even cultural. 60 years of MIW has brought up an environment and reliance on a one party country. There are no alternatives, no requirements to think of anything else. Just follow and do what you are told and you will be fine. The question becomes, how do I know what you say is correct in the first place? Why can't I explore and find out if it is true or not? Hence the common saying in Singapore, the price of failure is too great. To be independent you have to face the consequences of failure. To be able to accept that what you are doing maybe wrong and climb out of it when it does. I must say, being able to find my house, watch it get build day by day is a pretty exhilarating experience.
Yes, I've seen my house getting build as well. 3-4 man crew at most each doing a specific task from laying of foundation, to wooden beams, roof tiles. Having a small crew doesn't mean the quality is going to be bad, it just means its more efficient.
