Cheebye the minister dont dare to announce the fee. Is public money why cover up the cost???
Please tell the fucker to resign.
Any comment!!???

You can ask any rich private businessmen And they will tell you that it is delight to deal with the Singapore Govt because they will keep things confidential not matter how pleasant things are, they do not have asystem where they have to get approval from oversight bodies etc lie other countries. Sheldon Adelson will tell you when he was cash strapped, he even got financial rescue package from this govt.

They do this so that even when the ship sinks, they know that no one has the details.

These are the reasons why East Coast PAP MPs must lose their seats.

it bring in the tourists, so they have no choice but to renew contracts, more year of suffering for the sinkies.

I always look forward to f1 every year when there are less pollution downtown with less traffic

Don't be self centers. Singaporeans as a whole benefit

Contractor for temporary barrier and lighting was the most happy person. PIC gov/minister in charge get a cut out of it.
SG benefit??? Very funny it from tax payer money.
If private company bid for it I dont care.
LTA can only support for road close at FOC but all other cost bear by private fund.
Please dont use PUBLIC/tax money to fund the F1.

More tourist dollars, hotel, restaurants, shopping, taxi etc. Benefits singkies, why not Sia?

Bernie Ecclestone has really got SingaporeGP and the MIW by the balls.
He is already receiving an annual race fee of $12m from the organizers. A small amount compared to others.
Clearly the government think the benefits outweigh the costs.

Abu Dhabi is paying at least $40m to host its race.

150 million per race excluding other costs but 140 million on revenue, average. -10 million. No calculation for lost on traffic disruptions and lost businesses for shops that lost customers, opportunity cost of resources deployed for this event. First class businessmen in the PAP?

The F1 night race is a big SG advertisement to the whole world. The money gonna back via the race itself and some loss opportunity is nothing compared to the intangible benefits it brings in the long run

Bernie Ecclestone the rich Jew is laughing all the way to the bank.

I'm under the impression that he is more desperate to keep the SG race than our government. At the moment it remains the only night race on the calendar

Suntec, Marina Square and Millenia Walk shopping areas are ghost towns during this event.

Ghost town? The Pinoy maids and Bangla lads must love it. I'm sure they'll be doing hanky-panky stuff at the Suntec rooftop garden during the F1 weekend.

Cover for money laundering, tax havens and seedy deals like the pirate port Singapore is, yes.

Yeah right. Intangible benefits. Spillover effects. Making the 'Singapore brand' famous.

We've heard this with the IOC meeting in 2005, IMF/World Bank meeting in 2006, the YOG in 2010.

Pure, unadulterated bullshit.

City Plaza seems the preferred destination on a Sunday for these folk nowadays.
