Why are the Americans so keen to explore Mars when their own backyard is not even managed?
Answer: to mislead others into believing they are always the leader capable of achieving something others could not.
There is absolutely NOTHING one can achieve out of a Mars expedition.
They landed on the moon in 1969 and how many cities have they built on the moon? Have they found some alternative energy source? Any petroleum?
Space expeditions are a waste of money and the goodu nations are funding these excesses in the form of American's trade deficit.

The current Mars expedition curiosity rover is a great thing. Its gives people hope and believe. Plus also givs people the ability to create and be imaginative. Something sinkees will not understand and never will. I'll bet alot of industries and inventions came out of the moon landing. People were inspired than and hopefully now.

I disagree as all the ang-zhis are always sold out and u don't have to be buyer to know that.

They did it just to show they can. The next country to have similar mindset are the japs, who come up with lots of inventions which are never really commercially viable, but just to show the world they can and have the ability to innovate. For that, they will always be the leading countries in innovation. If you are talking about mass producing cheaply, blatant copycat, then the chinese and to a certain extent the south koreans will make lots of dough this way.
