In the past the govt has put forth many other reasons for the foreign influx - businesses find it hard to get Singapore workers, there are jobs Singaporeans won't take, there are skills we cannot find among Singaporeans. It is problematic to use these reasons justify the large influx and does not explain why foreigners are imported for jobs that Singaporeans also do and no employer is required to show proof that he cannot get a Singaporean to do the job when reasonable wages are paid. Maybe this is why the govt has chosen to use the low fertility rate of Singaporeans as a justification for importing more people.

If these 'Sinkie' cannot live on those so called 'low wages' they earned, don't you think they need to buck up -do something about their woes-instead of waiting for some wind fall, inheritance etc etc in their PRIME working years of their lives - or worse still do 'unworthy things until they are way passed their 'valuable worth' or past their 40s and above and still can't get the fuck of what and where - have these ppl fucked themselves up.

Lucky Tan brought up a very valid point. If the rules are such that employing cheaper FTWs are allowed, if you don't employ them, others will and eventually you have to to remain competitive. So do not blame the employers for employing cheaper labour, including FTW. As costs are relative, Govt policies will set the benchmarks.

I don't see any stick except Sinkie complaining that they have been 'out gunned'- out screwed - and out casted by their rulers with FT- which is what this thread is about and of course, as usual being losers, who don't make sure they are not -out fucked -in life if they had been more worthy and more resourceful on their own than to be told by those above them that they are hopeless and worthless fucked up, lazy bums!

When there's overcrowding and overpopulation, a declining fertility rate is a good thing.

It's not a bad thing or a problem at all, unless you deliberately view it to be so.
