Things You Expect In The Future

look @ aliens now ...

humans wil b like dem in future ... dey were like humans once ... humans r progressing in ze directrion of aliens ...

:p

Boss, no matter how frightening the future is, humans will always adapt to it. Those who can't will simply die off. Survival of the most adaptable. :)

That's true, and those who adapt will also inevitably die of old age or sickness too.
The biggest irony of life is that it ends in death.

There are already some examples of humans looking and behaving like aliens. :p

In fact we do work 4 days and less because an equivalent of 1 day or more we use to surf the net during office hours

Cheers too

You are the optimistic kind, that's saying half-full rather than half-empty.

Cheers!

Frankly, I think at least 50% of technological improvements actually hamper mankind, or at least their behaviour and conduct.

Yes. Not all techno advancement improved our lives. In my memory, the one that really did was the washing machine. My grand-aunt lived with us and did laundry I remenber manually with a washboard when I was a little kid. The day my dad brought home an electric washing machine and turned it on, my grand aunt became the happiest woman on earth with a beaming smile across her face and emanated a warm radiance of happiness for days! What has the PC done? Afforded easy access to porn and mushroomed the number of paedophiles.

Cheers!

Washing machine is definitely a great invention. I wash my own clothes and can't imagine not having it.
PC itself definitely more pluses than minuses. But I'm not sure if the technological advances are more plus than minuses.

I just recalled when I read your post, in one of the Robocop series (I think it was Robocop II), a kid on the street said to Murphy, "Robocop, go fuck your refrigerator."

Cheers!

funny you should mention this. I was just reading about the future with robotsex. You could either buy or rent the model and can charge it up.

This advanced robot would have all of the emotions in him/her and could be programmed to be your 'ideal' partner.

When you got tired of it you could sell it back to the manufacturer of if you didnt want anyone else to 'bang' it then you could deactivate it and store it.

Hehehe. This quote is from me while enjoying some beer with some bros in walking street.

"Every single day after 40 is a bonus!" I already collected few years of bonus liaoz! :p

Origin of this crazy thought was lost a very good friend to cancer. He was just about to make it to collect the bonus. :(

Speaking of death, has anyone seen Ramseth lately?

The computer will type out everything you think. (Not say).

You dunt hv to wait till future for this wat, I see a bored punk here always does that to forummers

Pedophiles have always existed.

It's just that in the pre-Internet days, they kidnap unattended kids from public places and fuck them, instead of sexually fantasizing them from online porn.

Porn has helped to reduce sex crimes.

Anti-porn crusaders should beware of what they wish for.

bro please dont bring in religion here ...thankyou .

I am so sorry. I was totally out of point. I forgot that religions will cease to exist in the future. Thank you for your kind reminder.

The possibility of being able to mind read.
If that becomes possible one day, humans who can't adapt to that will die off, possibly suicide because of the stress, or possibly because they get themselves into untenable situations.
Imagine a guy meets a violent gangster and he thinks "I wish I could kill him." The gangster reads his mind and kills him.

So, in order to adapt to the new world where mind reading is possible, what can you do:

1. Just refuse to think those "real" thoughts and keep forcing yourself to think nice things about the gangster.
2. Refuse to get into situations where you have to deal with the gangster.
3. Be a more ferocious gangster than that gangster.

Of course, the violent gangster is just an example and probably an extreme one.
How can we adapt to a world where mind reading is possible?

Another thing that I expect in the future.

You are going to be able to control lots of things from your ipad/tablet or your mobile phone.
Not only just internet and computing software, but also able to control your light switches, electrical appliances, garage doors/gates, house doors, taps, etc from your tablet or phone.

There will be people who while on the way home, decide to on their aircon first to make the house cool, others may want to start up their microwave with some food they left in there earlier. Forget to lock tyour gate or door, no problem, tablet or phone cna do it for you. All these technological advances supposed to bring conveniences.

Unfortunately, it could also lead to people becoming more lazy, sloppy, forgetful, unfocused, and in extreme cases, may even lead to fires, floods or robberies. Imagine you turn on your bath tub tap in advance, somehow forgot to turn it off or something happens to your phone and it overflows. Or someone steals your phone or hacks your password and opens your gate or front door.

Like it or not, this is coming, I can feel it in my bones.

bro, not sure about that, but I don't mean simply a control or master switch, I'm referring to apps on your tablet or mobile which u can control these things when not even at home, i.e. far away from the appliance or door.

what do u think about the mindreading one?

In the future, the people without the logo "U", will not be able, to trade, purchase the average things in life & certain things in life we take for granted, water, air & sunshine!, if we allow, what is happening today to continue into the future.
