Has been to far dangerous places in the course of his travels? What pop up in my mind are those who pay for a package tour to foreign "exotic" places and expect tour guides to be their nannies--no need to make any preparation to know the exoticism beforehand.
At home, they can see on TV all sorts of ghosts, vampires, spirits. Perhaps all the horror movies helps to brainwash to no risk-taking goodies.
I am not sure why that person will feel that way, is he not a resident there. Even if he is a tenant there, he has a right to complain. It is true though, from my limited observation, many who asks alot of questions are just trying to find excuses for themselves not to take any action. Rather than the removal of doubt, your answers only serve to fuel their anxiety. I even have people asking me, are there ghosts in such and such a development, what about rats, snakes, some even asked me about tigers in their community (yes i get all kinds). Sometimes i don't know whether to laugh or cry. Those who really would do it are people who typically asks less than 5 questions.

Those who asks more than 50-100 questions (YES there is someone i personally know) didn't even come to Johore once but has been to far dangerous places in the course of his travels.

Yet there are others who uses a single house defect to justify his decision not to buy in that development. I just say nothing but to wish these people well.

Agree bro.

Anyway regarding your last sentence, don't even feel like providing any more info to these group of people, especially newbies with less than 50 posts. Got numerous PMs also but so many just take info and run. Like we are the info machine and like we don't have better use of our time than to attend to them. Not creating an anti sentiments but these are all factual observations and experiences.

Sometimes I really don't know how bro wuqi puts up with all these but he certainly has my top respects.

Chief Wuqi intention to open this thread is to share and help singkie newbies to duduk di JB (live in JB). To be fair, tere could be some sincere newbies or season bros/sis, who could not find wat they want fm both main threads. I am well aware at times in the middle of discussion, we get carried away and end up "chit chatting" or discuss topic in the main thread when it should be discussed in the relevant sub thread. Therefore, it would be good if we stick to relevant threads when in discussion. Or else the second thread would end up like the 1st thread. Like rojak. Thanks to Kampong Chief, Crystal. I notice occasionally she would remind us to discuss in relevant sub thread.

Coming to ur above post. My opinion is if same old repeated questions come ur way, u may limit it to 3 (ur discretion). After tat, juz ignore those PMs. It would be good if u could post their nick here. Then we would know whether they are sincere in sharing or belong to those groups who hit and run. Otherwise by posting above, u put alot of us/newbies in anxiety mode. Macam witch hunt leh.

Last but not least, I would like to thank Chief Wuqi, u and those regular contributors. I am a singkie, still living in tiny red dot and I really cant contribute much as my knowledge of JB is "0". To those bros/sis, who had responded to my queries, I would normally award them with my Hi 5. To show my appreciation. For those who w/o points/powers, at least respond with a word of "Thank" in PM or here if ur queries were answered.

Terima kasih (TQ)

Just a quick share why on we choose to buy showhouse.

It was a moment of strike 1 day when the wife and I thought, why don't we move to JB? We are regulars to JB every Monday.

So, the hunt for house began...

Our 1st choice was NUSA DUTA. coz it was the 1st property we met @ CIty square road show.

However, the already constructed units were fully sold out. The next phrase will only be ready in 2 years time. Something which the wife is not willing to wait.

We did think of subsales from Nusa Duta, but understanding that subsale houses are not being covered under any house defects from developer and meeting up with an owner who was not willing to drop his price by RM20,000. We decided to move on.

We been to other developments like Tanah Sutrea.. Their showhouse is RM1.6mil. It was really tempting considering this price we cant get even half of that 3 storey terrace house in SG. But 3 storey for the 2 of us seems alittle bit too scary...

I think if we move away from HH and ND area, there are some developments with showhouses ready...

So, yeah, when we chanced upon the showhouse. We fell in love with it the moment the developer show us. And the question was popped to developer within 5mins."Tell me the price and how we move on from here.. "

So why we choose a showhouse?

Simple. Everything is there. It's a matter of convenience and hassle free.

The ID was simple which was to our liking. Lights were up and most importantly, furnitures are up too.

We just need a TV and we are ready to move in once all the paper works are done... Most importantly, renovations is being kept to the minimum and the wife and I can move it asap. Haha... =)

Having said that, I think we will still need to fix up a security alarm, cctv and auto gates.. OH ya, our aircon is no longer under warranty but we are fine with that. Wife and I are not so particular over the little issues. Most importantly, when u buy a house, it's a matter of how much u fell in love with it @ first sight. We did. My best wishes to all newbies out there who are still searching for that dream house of urs.

Ask sensible questions here and I'm sure the old birds will be more than willing to answer to u.

Bro whoami, those were blanket statements and definitely did not include you. I didn't mean that the pre-requisite criterion for a newbie to contribute means that he or she must have good understanding about JB and related knowledges. It was more towards the way a few of us being treated and the approaches used by some group of people. Anyway long and short is that, many of us will still try our best to address queries but will exercise more discretions.

Thanks for your good gesture on your points award as I'm a grateful receiver to have the honor to receive it from you

Hi Jerry, glad to hear that you and wife were on the same page and were decisive to take prompt actions. I'm sure crystal would have advised you on the loan procedures etc by now.

Btw, care to share which taman you were referring to? Thanks

Hey bro. Don't say that please. No one here is to say who is more superior against who. We are all in here for a common reason, and the title of the thread has said it all  don't take anything personal please and that's is also why we have never named those "people in question"

Yeps dats what i mean. I guess i lousy writer. English not power enuf.

That's cool bro. Seems like everything has been well taken care of. Since the expected period is so near, maybe both of you may want to consider sleeping in the bedroom downstairs? I imagine that it would be quite hard and delay your time to the hospital if both of you are sleep upstairs when the "water" breaks.

Thanks bro, preparing for it amidst work and business. Also modded all cars with extra curtains (in case of privacy for wife), extra lights. Serviced all cars and pumped all full of fuel, battery checked etc, cargo nets filled with towels, clothing, etc.

Money, transport, doctor, everything is on standby. While working (just finishing), keeping an eye on her in case the "water" breaks.

Long day today, a tenant's dad was gravely ill so sent hamper in the evening and then resumed working. Was finally taking a break
when a bro forgot his keys asked me for help so went to assist. Then had dinner, by then almost midnight already.

Dude, this forum is all abt sharing. More participants, the better. Yes, we dont owe anyone a living. Neither are we oblige to answer their PMs. But do name those nicks here. And see how they respond. And in future such nicks resurface again, or PM us again, we know wat to do. I personally had recd two PMs. But I politely told them to PM Chief. Cos i really dont have the answers. If u had recd lots of PMs, like our Chief, u should feel honoured. Tat goes to show u r highly regarded. How I wish i am as knowledgeable as both of u.

As for points, I believe in sharing. Tats wat tis forum all about ya. And I feel grateful to u too for recipocrating.

Ginfreely, I have followed this thread for the past 8 month, i think u r the best representative of s'porean of our generation here. In fact i've rated you as the best in this forum. Please keep up your good work.

Aiyoh you haven't answered DoA's query about the basis of your property ranking and now you come out with another ranking again. No one will take your ranking seriously like that.

I am definitely not number 1 here. Other regulars like Wuqi etc have made much more contribution and I have benefited from them.

Crystal, this is the question mark i see. Just curious, you don't see this question mark on your iPad?

Hi Grago, its likely that the FO cables referred to are for other purposes or that they didn't explain it clearly, that the junction boxes are cabled already and just need to be pulled into the house. Paying 179 a month for everything including the other channels. I highly recommend channel 172 for those who like hunting/shooting/fishing etc.

Thanks. Best wishes on the new "arrival". Good wishes that all will go well both for the baby and the wife....

Oh, though i have replied Narmi that those ranking is not a correct comparison. Sorry if i missed Doa's query, which might lead or contributed to him to write those under 50 post's comment. Paisei.

Yes Wuji's contribution here is second to none, but he's the moderator, so his comment will be more "peace loving". Yours are more straight forward & close to the gound.

Hmmm ... Good to state the basis of your ranking? Thanks

Nusa Duta - have went there couple of time last year, once at night & once at a very heavy rain. As it's located at low gound, saw flood there, but that's when it's still under construction which the drainage system is not fully function yet.

Laguna - went there 3 times, once at night....that's on last year when coastal highway not commence yet....found the place rather quite & deserted & eerie at night at that time. Understand future development potential is good, but there're also some uncertainty on how well & long it takes to materialise.
Design is nice, but think that's the only plus factor at that point of time.....now with highway linked.....another plus factor....
