After going through preliminary reports from various sources online, we can now come to some preliminary conclusion why Ms Lo was killed.
1. Someone made the battle-cry to the Indian government, pledging support without knowing if it was a war between Pakistan and India or some fringe terrorist group. Even though Deccan Mujahedeen claimed responsibility, it is now known that other groups are involved in this co-ordinated attacks. No one really knows which group these attackers come from. So, in hindsight, it is risky and stupid to pledge support to any one party when you do not know much. Notice how USA and Britain handled the situation? Both kept low-profile and made speeches like "deeply shocked and saddened" but fall short of getting involved in pledging support to Indian government, when their citizens are held as hostages.
2. MFA betrayed Ms Lo by not relaying her message. Excuse given by the consular was to "seek understanding that events were fluid so MFA not able to act on any info"
When MFA is not able to act on any info, then why someone can make risky and un-needed comments to the press?
On a side-note, it does not give anybody indemnity or assurance by ass-licking the inner circle. See what happened? Ms Lo's father-in-law cannot even get GCT to help.
Someone said Sinkiepore will extend all help to Indian government to secure the release of Ms Lo. BUT not relaying her message is tantamount to sentencing her to death.
Game over.
