Re: Robert Kiyosaki, author of "Rich Dad Poor Dad" was in Town - Is He A Fraud

If he really knew the formula, he would be doing it and not simply talking about it.
Or perhaps talking about it is simply his way of doing it.

Don't knock the successful authors. They may write rubbish but if they can sell a million copies, they're set for life.

Anybody can write a book. You can too and so can I. However, whether anyone buys our books is a different matter. The success or failure of any venture is in your hands. It's up to you to make it work.

Same applies to websites. Get 100,000 visitors a day to your website and you're sitting on a nice tidy income. Most websites have 5 visitors a day.

Re: Robert Kiyosaki, author of "Rich Dad Poor Dad" was in Town - Is He A Fraud

The problem is not the Motivational Speaker/Guru/Expert/Whatever, but the problem is the (Sinkie) Audience.

9 out of 10 attendees at any type or form of seminar or class will leave complaining that the speaker is too general, and "not specific." What they mean is, they want the whole damn' World to be handed to them on a silver platter.

In this particular case, the Sinkie audience will only be satisfied when Robert Kiyosaki takes them by the hand to the property or investment, and says: "there!!!! There's your 10-bagger property/investment!!!!!!" And even then, 99% of the jokers who are brought to this "gold mine" will make phoney excuses, such as "got no money."

Many people have made fortunes applying the principles of Mr Kiyosaki. But, like the Singapore property miracle, those who have made money keep quiet because they got nothing to complain about. The losers, the excuse-makers feel jealous and frustrated, so they Kaopeh Kaobu to the Government, and cry mummy daddy for the Government to save them.

Just because there are Hordes of losers complaining about the Singapore property situation, does it mean that Singapore property is a Hoax? A scam? No, right? So, the same applies to Robert Kiyosaki: just because there are Hordes of lazy losers out there, who are unwilling to get off their fat a**, does it mean Mr Kiyosaki is a scam? Of course not!

Take responsibility for your own life. It will make your life a much better one, a life worth living. :D

I'm not, that's why I said that talking about it is simply his way of doing it.
I find him similar in some respects to FB's Mark.
Their products and ideas essentially don't create any new or real value for people.
They simply package what is already there, modify it a little to cater to human needs and emotions
and then sell it as if it was the best thing since sliced bread.
Humans being humans buy it and they make a bundle.
No doubt they are wealthy and deemed to be successful, but have they created any value for the world?

"Value" is measured in many forms. It isn't confined to earth shattering inventions or life saving drugs.

Take the creator of the Muppets Jim Henson as an example. He didn't invent puppets, frogs or pigs but his creativity has brought immeasurable joy to the world.

I agree.
In Henson's case, the product he created brought joy to the world. That's considered creating value.
In the case of the other 2, what they brought to the world was already there. They simply repackaged it
and sold it as if it was something great they just thought of and created and made a bundle.

Long before they existed, people have been telling one another they liked another, showing one another
their ugly photos and sharing their inane thoughts, as well as running their own businesses, buying low and
selling high and spending less than they earned.

I have been buying and reading books for many years. I often waited for months for a new release to arrive at the book store.

I now buy it on my Kindle 80% cheaper and I get it the same day it's released.

Making existing processes cheaper, better, faster does add value. Even Zorro Lim thinks so.

Re: Robert Kiyosaki, author of "Rich Dad Poor Dad" was in Town - Is He A Fraud

Robert K says he owns more than 1000 properties all over the world......i googled his net worth and it says he is worth 'only' 80 million.
I would expect a landlord with over 1000 properties be much richer.

he probably didn't mention he took mortgages on these properties that he "owns". in truth, its the bank that owns it, not him....

this is the typical, put 10% down and leverage the rest BS.

Re: Robert Kiyosaki, author of "Rich Dad Poor Dad" was in Town - Is He A Fraud

So many fresh grads earning $3k, buying a car. How is that even feasible? Everyday eat bread?

Raid other people's food from the office pantry.

Starving to have 'face'. Let them.

That's what car loans are for. They are very happy to lend you money to buy a car. Whether you can repay the loan+interest is not their business.

Re: Robert Kiyosaki, author of "Rich Dad Poor Dad" was in Town - Is He A Fraud

I was stupid enuff to buy his first book many years back, no useful info.threw it away soon after realising i had jus made him richer.

Re: Robert Kiyosaki, author of "Rich Dad Poor Dad" was in Town - Is He A Fraud

Somehow when sam endorses something we see fewer ppl willing to condemn the author.
