Lee Hsien Loong promise to help the poor

Next question they will ask the poor in the 2016 GE:

"Do you still want the remaining of your $500,000?"

Do they spend more hours in the office than anyone else in the world? YES they do.

Do they put in more hours of ACTUAL WORK? Not a fat chance.

Now I have to spend more time at
work to clear the shit left behind by those useless FT

Singaporeans put in the most hours in the world! Still say Singaporeans lazy?

You guys spend so much time here! I suppose you are more hardworking than an average Singaporean?

Don't forget the annual ICTs and IPPTs. Sinkies are no more than glorified bangalas.

Depending on the peanuts they are getting. Applies the same all over the world.:D

You are right, especially those in GLCs.
So many canteen breaks and toilet naps.

Raise GST to help the poor
Raise ERP to ease traffic congestion
Raise CPF limit to battle aging issues
Raise Singapore population thru FT programs to curb declining birthrate
Raise transport fees to better services.

Raise something to have children. Not enough people doing that. Is that the problem or the real problem is a pathological one?

If that is the case, Singaporeans are even more productive.

What happens to the 2% GST increase that is suppose to help the poor?

hi there

1. bro, you can wait on that hoh!
2. either it is already being "eaten" or currently eating it.
3. get it!
4. here, it is you die your biz.

Help for this category should come from NGOs. I'd provide grants to set up such organisations but that would be the limit of govt involvement.

hi there

1. do you think such ngos have sufficient resources?
2. not many people are like sammy who is generous & considerate for the helpless & poor!
3. do you think individuals in such low-rung of the society choose to be here in the first place?
4. if you cannot "catch up" with the "what's acceptable" & the masses, such sheep are lost, overlooked & forgotten.
5. there are plenty of such individuals in toa payoh too.
6. while you are on a bike ride, you can check them out for yourself.

NGOs are made up of groups which share similar concerns. They need to muster resources from like minded people to support their cause.

People don't choose to be poor but they choose not to do anything about it when they are.

Lost sheep will perish. It's too bad.

I disapprove of these measures. Why should the lazy louts of society be rewarded for their sloth with more than half a million dollars of taxpayer funds.

If Singapore goes down this route, it'll become another Greece.

a quick search using Google tells me it is not the lazy louts that caused the crisis..its time to let your lazy fingers do the checking:rolleyes:

The roots of the problem is up for debate. One side insisted is the governing political party fault for importing too many FT deprive locals and their offsprings the chance for social welfare and competiveness. Another side will argue it's the progressive nature of a mature and developed countries.

Uh-oh. When the PAP speaks of 'helping the poor' it really means 'raise the GST'.

Raise GST across the board, then throw a couple of rebates to the poor.

There, the poor have been 'helped'. He is not lying.

I am around for long enough to understand the tricks up the PAP's sleeves.
They can't fool me with their Machiavellian doublespeak and shenanigans.
