Congrats to YPAP Mr Tay Ping Hui for winning the Best Actor award

SINGAPORE: It was a star-studded evening as MediaCorp celebrated with its stars at the annual Star Awards Show on Sunday at the Marina Bay Sands.

For the first time, the Best Actor award went to Tay Ping Hui for his performance in the drama 'Bountiful Blessings' while actress Joanne Peh beat veterans, including Zoe Tay and Fann Wong, for the Best Actress Award.

And it was double joy as presenters Zhang Hai Jie and Tung Soo Hua both picked up awards in the Best News Presenter category.

Chun Guek Lay and Lin You Yi also bagged prizes in the Best Current Affairs Presenter category for their respective performances in Focus and Good Morning Singapore.

Chen Shu Cheng also won the the Best Supporting Actor award for his performance in the drama, The Oath while Vivian Lai nabbed the prize for Best Supporting Actress for her role in "Love Thy Neighbour.

Other awards given included Best Variety Show Host, which went to Mark Lee, while Lee Teng was named the Best Infotainment Host.
