All Singaporeans (especially those born and bred here after 1965) should always be loyal to Singapore.

It is their Nation. The Crescent and Five Stars (Red/White) flag is their's too.

The National Day is for them to remember, being made a part of.

They MUST understand that the precious flag and National Day has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with the Government in Power.

It belongs to them, the PEOPLE - atau (or) Rakyat.

Always remember, that what Singapore achieved hitherto has NOTHING to do with any political party.

It is the collective efforts of so many of their forefathers (the un-sung heroes0 of the past and present.

Never forget that it was the collective efforts of the Singapore Civil Service, its staff and ordinary that made their Singapore into she is today.

Never Forget the following category of gallant and dashing heroes:-

Police personnels who laid down their lives for the defence of Singapore and her people against criminals, communists, communalists and other divisive elements. The police personnels of those good old days who were pro-public and VERY STRICTLY apolotical.

Those "stout-hearted and brave" people of all races who protected "minorities" within their kampongs at the height of the Racial Riots, even though none of these people have ever been elevated to the level of Schindler and the Japanese Ambassador in Nazi Germany, who assisted many Jews to get away from the cluthches of the Nazi Army of Adolf Hitler.

Our fireman and soldiers who made huge sacrifices in Bukit Ho Swee Fire and against the forces of Azahari and Nasution in Borneo - called the Brunei Rebellion.

The loyal teachers who taught Singaporeans, like us to appreciate education and talk with confidence, flair and write with skills.

Those hard-working stevedores (labourers) of the then Singapore Harbour Board (SHB) for working day and night thereby making Singapore into an international port-of-call.

The familiar Samsui women, who refused to get married and contributed to the roads and building construction.

The trisha-riders and pullers who heaved under their loads and contributed to transportation.

The list goes on....

Todays Civil servants MUST also think along the same lines. Their allegiance is to Singapore and her people and NOT to some "exclusive" groups.

Those in services that serve to protect the citizens SHOULD never ever abuse their powers against fellow Singaporeans.
Long Live The Nation of Singapore.

No democratically-elected governments can screw their citizens.
On the contrarary, the people can throw out their governments in democratically-conducted elections.
We follow the Westminster style of governance....
Even Myanmar realised it and changed.
Hopefully Mugabe will also "wake" up.
You have the power in the ballot-box.
Big Bro, America is watching what is happening all over the world.
You are living in a new era. You have that power.
