What we're saying is that the fight scenes in Bruce Lee's movies, especially the one-to-one fights go beyond the entertainment of a cinema goer. They are real life art forms that remain etched in one's mind and which are being analysed by martial arts exponents all over the world and emulated up till this very day. 40 years later the martial arts world is still mesmerised by his moves and exponents are still striving to reach those perfected moves of his. No one can remember how Jackie Chan tumbles and wriggle himself out of situations. They are confined to movies archives.

Yes, it was meant for a show-off effect in cinematography. But you have to have it before you can show it off. Jackie Chan body also became relatively sloppy and slabby after the old 1970s Drunken Fist and Snake Fist days. But of course, relatively to others, he still kept reasonably fit.

Donny yen does mma too and he is broad minded like bruce too but when he acted as ip man he kept his shirt on. In a sense, Bruce Lee pre-empted and prevented them from showing off. None could match him. Show off for what? Most Bruce Lee posters are barebodied with his perfectly V-winged portrayed in martial stance. Younger actors who try that would automatically be ranked second rate, so what for?
