In the last Bond Movie, The Quantum of Solace,,,I thought JB did give up on sex...he did not root the Bond gal

Rebooting the Bond franchise was the right thing. I like Casino Royale as an edgier and vulnerable Bond is more fun to watch.

Gone are the days of fanciful gadgets and lame quippy one liners. Yawnzz! They belong to another era.

Nobody beats Sean Connery. He is still my one and only 007 even when he has migrated to diff roles.

Daniel Craig first came into fame as a kid playing the role of the son Tom Hanks in Road To Perdition (gangster movie). It's quite a wonder that he grew and aged so fast since. That was hardly ten years ago. The kid to me looks like an uncle to me now.

Please go and watch Road to Perdition before you make this kind of dumb statement again.

James Bond films since Barbara Broccoli took over as producer has really deviated from the original Bond that Ian Flemming had in mind (tall, dark hair, debonair). They should have used Hugh Jackman instead of Daniel Craig. Rolex Sub instead Omega Seamaster. Aston Martins instead of BMWs. Martinis shaken not beer.

James Bond title role selection is a bit restricted since he must be British or Irish traditionally. I'm sure Americans don't qualify but I'm not sure if Australians qualify.

I think George Lazenby was Aussie. Anyway, came across these nice bits of 007 history showing the guys that did not make the cut as 007.

there is a long list of actors considered as JB.......some of the choices might shock you...the reasons from rejection were just as varied.
