SAN FRANCISCO (Reuters) - Apple Inc and its main contract manufacturing Foxconn agreed to tackle violations of conditions among the 1.2 million workers assembling iPhones and iPads in a landmark decision that could change the way Western companies do business in China.

The Western Democracies had all these human abuses and explotation - 200 to 300 years ago; slavery, child workers, etc. Social revolution followed and public awareness of these issues were increased. They have since mostly come out of it and are ahead in humane consciousness and treatment of people, and animals. While it still goes on there, it is less tolerated than in other societies as these others were still in the medieval age when the west was already progressing with parliamentary democracy.

The slave caste was invented in Egypt, India and China (independently of each other) about 5 to 6,000 years ago. The Moses exodus was to free the Hebrew slaves. The Indian slave caste was later called untouchables, i.e. don't come and touch and dirty the higher castes, i.e. ancestors most of the dark Indian ancestors of Tamils and Banglas today. The white Aryan Indians were chased off Indus valley into Europe, but somehow the caste system survived in India, being taken advantage of by richer dark Indians against poorer dark Indians. That's why Buddhism and much later, Sikhism were started to break off from that.

The Chinese slave caste system broke down in the Zhou Dynasty Warring States era when the lords and dukes want to dignify, moralise and mobilise as many men as possible to be soldiers to fight each other, or at least farm for the food supply for their armies. Confucius was borne of a slave maid.
