either the citizens are too good or stupid or the gov is very good or tyranical. u name it, u got it :(

it's like nobody objects anything bad from the gov. even if we do object, it's a very weak objection. gov still proceeds with whatever that pisses the citizens.

there are so many to name which what the gov did in the past that didn't go down well with us. but in the end, there was just compliance and disturbing slience :(

are we really a nation of cows and sheep that leave everything in the hands of the gov. are we just a herd waiting to be butchered?

SIngpaoreans have not got the "One for All and All for One" mindset. It is you or me kind of mentality that obstructs the society from gelling together for a cause - unless instructed by authority. In some ways it is good, to forge ahead together, but then when things don't go the way it should, it becomes "I'm outta here first." How it came to this? I suppose the ST has a lot to do with it, over the generations instilling into the minds of citizens how good her leaders are, and without them, the place would be chaotic. Constantly being reminded of this, it becomes truth. Singaporeans are pliantly obedient. One that does not conform becomes viewed as uncooperative, even if that person is just thinking indepentdently.

Cheers!

Fuck bastard Sim, did you ask your Father that before you bashed into a bloody pulp or even your Mother when you verbal abused her?

How about the innocent children who you molested? Are you mocking them for being so "obliging and compliant" you sick fuck bastard?

probably our army is to be blame for this type of sheep instinct.

Because the regime is not as bad assed like some dictators?

There is no need to resort to violence?

Be complain kings and queens can already!!

You want to see violence try to push the peasants a little more?

Government is not perfect but quite good

You should take responsibility for you own life and stop blaming the government for your misery

There are many who have done well despite initial difficult circumstances

I always strive to open Singaporean eyes - be an employer rather than an employee

Be open to PRC talent - be selective but there is such a huge pool you can always get very good people

Anyone who doubts the popularity of the PAP should just look at the number of people leaving & exchanging their passport.

I've seen so many of my relatives, ex-schoolmates & colleagues find greener pastures elsewhere. Some of them do come back as FT or on holidays & so far non-have any regrets about leaving Spore:eek:
