How about those who steal money from public or pension funds ... me thinks those are the ones that need to be gassed. In PRC, technically that is, if you embezzle public funds above a relatively small threshold, it is the death penalty, but we are digressing.

Its a good way to sink the credibility of this govt. By now many Singaporeans are familiar with the case and the evidence the govt has for this case. It is hard to convince them there is no cover up unless more evidence can be shown. If they try to bury it, it sends a certain message to the people....earlier they were trying to compensate the mother to get her to stop her actions...luckily she had the courage to seek justice.

Pay her enough so that she can shut her mouth forever. Silly government has so much money and do not know how to use to clean up the shit their own people created. Ravi is going all out to drag the reputation of PAP government down the drain.

I think the amounts compensated is minimum. Judging by the way PAP government treated Singaporean. Singaporean's life is for sacrificial.

Silly govt has much money but won't waste a single cent on such 'nuisance'.
They know they can get away with such things due to silly 60.1% so why waste money?
Money better blow on things like own salaries, YOG, help FTs etc.

This was not a rare incident of death of an inmate in our Prison.. In mid 90s at the Old Queenstown Prison, 3 Prison officers, a Senior Officer, and 2 JOs, all of them Malays assaulted a Malay inmate to death.. Those 3 were charged for manslaughter and were imprisoned.. Inmates have a good life now knowing that there are many channels for them to lodge a complaint should they be bashed by the Prison staff..

Back in the 60s, 70s, 80s and as recently as the 90s, prison warders used to mete out their own set of justice to these Scumbags of Society inside those cells at Queenstown Prison, Changi, and DRCs.. Many of these cases were left unreported as Prisoners of the olden days were really tough lot and not sissies like the present day generation of young prisoners..

If all allegations were true in writs why waste time and money on Kong Hee & the gang?
