Ok ok just to make the trend gurus here happy... play along with their theories..

Too late for trying to catch the trend. Knockout stage games are over so u missed the boat.

Quarter Finals only 4 matches played with 2 games playing at the same time. New trend will come fast and go and when u think u got it, the 4 games are over. Same for semi finals..

And those betting with sg pools... jalan bets? heh heh.. that's why they lose out to bookies.

I am not rich. Every match, I only bet a derisory amount.

Then a derisory winning amount u shall get unless u bet like jw5 - bet small to win big.

This WC is different from previous one. (See WC 2010 chart below)

For this WC, in Round of 16, except for Netherlands and France, those betting on wins on favorites Argentina, Germany, Brazil, Costa Rica, Belgium in the knockout stages got banana skin.

The truth of the matter is that this year's tournament is highly unpredictable. Any of the eight teams left has a realistic chance of winning.

Yes...even Costa Rica.

Your observation skills quite good.

I tot argentina would just kill swiss off with many goals but only 1 goal difference. I don't think ppl expected it to be the argentina match. Seriously watching the odds and the trend works in some ways makes it seem that football is fixed i mean ppl would like to believe it isn't fixed but seriously who knows if the WC isn't fixed.

I also dun believe but just treat like gambling casino close eyes and whack.
Football punting takes a bit of skills and analysis but end of day its still gambling....
Gamblers go casino formulate whatever mathematics strategies and probabilities but all these go out the window when a long dragon pattern comes along and defies all logic.
So when comes to gambling sometimes need to go with the flow....this WC those who teekee and go against flow lost alot of money.

Re: World Cup 2014 Thread

Dutch still underdogs? Good, lol

There are 4 past winners in the pool. 3 are multi winners.
Trend for Dutch is never win WC up to final loser only. So going by trend Dutch is solid underdog. The odds reflect this fact correctly.

For the Belgium vs USA game, it was a disadvantage for the US to go into extra time as they don't have star players or a midfield maestro as compared to Belgium. Their players are young and still developing so surely they would want to win in 90 minutes. It is Belgium that failed to beat them in 90 minutes and Tim Howard that kept the game going for 120 minutes. USA team with no quality squad depth and running for 90 minutes and tiring themselves out only to be beaten by Lukaku fresh coming off from the bench. Really a bummer. The German vs Algeria game and this one were entertaining if u are not betting.
