To be fair, usage wear and tear is unavoidable. Especially so with the increased load and frequency. At least they caught it before any catastrophic failure occurred.

How to be fair when the management rewards themselves with world class salaries & bonuses Consumers have been paying inreasing fares which have contributed to bumper profits

All these problems & yet no one has been held accountable for all the mismanagement

The sinkapore system is based on reward for the scholar class ...once you join the scholar class, your life is made ...you will become a millionaire and insulated from the realities of daily living of an average guy.

That system must go when the PAP is tossed out.

You are being generous here. It should be anticipated. You & I know that the SMRT wasn't build for 5.3 million pple. Yet, they are doing little. Just sliding along.
