Besides the fact that some of these guys are decent and humble chaps, there is a growing concern and it was raised by Tang - the church influence in the upper echelon is a concern and I do agree. The concern is with the underlings.

Its common knowledge that many of them in Alpha society have gone to church because it is now a desirable practice for moving up. There is lady PS who is well known for combining her work and her religion in the workplace. Nice lady but she does not realise how people below her capitalise on it. Especially the new age church.

So far old man has been very careful that it does not cause too much concern. If unchecked, it will become new freemasons.

So far the 2 most powerful churches of the old tradition type are St Ignatious (catholic)
and Wesley Methodist (Christian). So far no issues.

I thought they were already freemasons with that aptly named Pyramid Club. Is there a similar pattern of inner circle in the military? So far what you mentioned are civil servants and civilians. Those military fellows also need to be cajoled and caressed in case they get funny ideas of being sidelined by the regime leaders.

This where mathematics and statistics come into play to remove the subjectivity...

There are hundreds of churches, temples, mosques, etc spread pretty evenly much around the island. Yet when you poll all those in the top echelon who attend their respective place of worship, it seem to concentrate on 3 places.

Explain the phenomenon. To take it a little further, cut the population by the following
- religion born into
- distance from place of worship

Here is a very good example - the lastest addition to the Civil Service Staff Grade entry on 1st Oct is a member of St Ignatious, was not born a Catholic but he is humble, sincere and a wonderful guy. Amazingly coincidental?

If these people are really good people, then it is despite them being involved in church not because of.

Lim Soo Hoon? She once wrote into ST Forum, complaing that Bakerzin gave her son some condom/phallic shaped free gift. Turns out later that her son asked for the gift himself.

The people who have made it usually behave in a humble manner. They are low profile. Even if high profile chaps, they try their best to remain invisible. Billionaire Peter Lim for example.

It is almost always those wannabes who will try their best to be irritating and desperately seeking attention. We have an army of such people in the Civil Service.
I have to disagree iwth you here. By ahamlessly making use of liverpool for self-publicity, peter lim is definitely not trying to stay invisible.
