ah seng was along doing fine with his groundwork. one of his fatal mistake could be he involved too much in sbf. with his posting of I SEE FLYING SAUCER could be the nail in his own coffin.

poor ah seng could be very stressed. already told him those "flying saucers with blinking lights"were none other mini china-made helicopters. i had bought a few for my son. those cheeky brats were always flying their new gadgets around the neighbours' windows thrilling their kids - and adults alike. but goh meng seng isn't my neighbour of my luxurious condo.

his stubborness and argumentative nature in this topics could have pissed prospective supporters. it had pissed me too although i still support him and understand that he was under great stress.

ah seng should have roped in NICOLE SEAH into his team. that could ve aided much and garner many teeko votes fr young horny virile guys who are new virgin voters.

splitting up all the stronger nsp candidates weaken his chances of being elected.

anyway, it was a very good show by NSP team. ah seng, u don't have to feel remorse. you have done your very best. about 40%+ supported you. so keep up the good works and DO NOT STOP THERE. continue your groundworks. come 5 yrs later challenge the pap again. if they continue with their arrogance - which i think they would - chances that NSP may make it the next round.

with that note, i wish u well and be happily re-united with your wife and lovable daughter. i hope you wouldn't leave sgp and migrate to hk. that would provide ammunition for the pap to make a mockery out of you and probably NSP too :(

rather u should bring your hk wife and daughter to singapore and aid u further in your quest to conquer the pap in the next GE.

here's wishing you and your family all the best! take care! remember there are supporters behind you and if u continue your good and unreserved effort, your support base shall swell even bigger.

again, A WORK WELL DONE!! GIVE YOURSELF A PAT AND WE GIVE U A ROUND OF STANDING OVATION OF APPLAUSE!!

I think GMS and NSP overstretched their resources, especially after taking in the RP defectors. NSP fielded 24 candidates, that's even one more than WP. GMS, Sebastian Teo, Steve Chia, Chris Neo etc. leaders are scattered all over north south east west, and the so-called ministerial specific strategy against MBT and HDB that looked like gathering momentum pre-election was allowed to be hijacked by TPL versus Nicole Seah during campaign proper.

My take on WP true max strength is that they're actually able to contest for government, i.e. field more than 43 candidates. However, stretching resources like that'd be token contest and probably all would lose except for Hougang again. The results speaks for themselves. All WP candidates scored above 40%. In 2006, WP only managed above 40% in Aljunied, earning Sylvia Lim and GMS heavyweight tags. By that measure, all WP candidates are heavyweight now.

One thing we have to give to GMS, whether with WP or with NSP, with Sylvia Lim or unknowns in his team, he managed above 40% both times. Hope he stays in politics and develops his strategy further. He may have a real chance in future.

As many have already pointed out, he should have placed more resources into Tampines! I thought Tony and Hazel should have been place onto the Tampines slates after pulling out of Moulmein-Kallang, but I believe that will have caused lotsa unhappiness within the party's ranks. MP was a long shot from the start, people disliked TPL, but no way were they going to vote out a former PM over their disdain for her. Nonetheless, I sense that there will be lotsa internal tensions within the NSP over the next few months and years between the old guard (Ken Sun, Yip Yew Wng, etc) vs Young Turks (NS, Tony, Hazel). In order for the NSP to remain viable, it has to refresh it's ranks, and urge the old guard to take a back seat, much like what Low TK has done. It is a huge gamble, but victory will shut down any dissent.

Totally agree with you about NSP over-stretching itself and contesting too many seats. WP has given political parties a template of contesting closely with the PAP. You need to put your best team in a GRC and chong all the way. And also work the ground 3 years before elections.

its ok guys, worker party success and NSP failure is a very good case study on how to bring down a GRC fortress.

precisely! we are against a formidable foe PAP. u put those weaklings n nobody care less candidate with u, u actually dilute the confidence in your gang. he should have grouped all the bigwigs in NSP together and tackle shortie mah. lau lee got a feeling that shortie might lose and so he let go his decorative vase baey ayam king over to aid him. ayam king has this uncanny nature that attracts aunties, uncles, mei meis, horny bitches and do not forget the GAYS & LESBOS. he's magnet to all these. it's like a singer with power vocal and singer who can't sing but with such pretty face, the fans just drool after him. who cares whether he can sing or not. baey falls in the singer who cannot sing category. so the tampines droolers voted for him simply he's an eye candy.

i think tampinesers are going to REPENT for the next 5 yrs cos baey ayam king is actually quite cho bo lan type. besides affiable and smiling and listening to horny lau aunties croaking in open ktv, nothing much very practical from. look at q'town. he tried to be zealous and upgraded mei ling hawker centre. it's still more than b4. food prices escalated. more stalls closed....and residents especially the senior folks, the poor and the needies suffer cos b4 they could easily buy a pkt of economical beehoon for 60c. it's now like $1 or at best 80c. there are no more $1.50 wholesome to goodness food. minimum prices now is $2.50. soyabean used to be 40 -50c. it's now 70c. the soyabean uncle has stopped making my favorite black sesame paste cos he laments that the cost is high and he doubt he can covers back if he sells at a higher new price. there goes also my favorite 60c tau suan and many more.

what has baey ayam king done? practically NOTHING! he allows the rent to go hogwild and along with it all the food prices follow suit. eventually the residents suffer. the funny part is he still thought he did right. he doesn't patronise there. all the feedback to him were from his ball-carriers who feed the wrong cherry-sweet news which are not really untrue but it only represent the minority and NOT the actual true picture.

see how easily pap mps prefer to be conned and smoked by their ball carriers?

that's the gov we are having now - just like the FM 90.5 GOLD :

ONLY HEAR THE GOOD THINGS....the bad ones are irrelvant.
