This shows the respect USA gives to PAP-led Singapore. You don't see Obama treating Najib, Joko or Duterte with similar respect.

Obama go to joko and najib, played golf in hawaii.

I don't think the "Natural Aristocrat" LHL and HO Ching would be impressed by Obama's simple State dinner.
LHL and HO Ching expectations are much higher than what Obama could imagine.
Compare their salary and you see Obama is no where near LHL's and HO Ching's league.
