What's wrong with Chelsea?

Since 2003-04, they have been in the top 2 every single season. They have always been the main title contenders along with Man U.

Now they are struggling so badly that it would be considered a big success if they can even finish 4th.

It's the same players (more or less) who won all those titles before, yet they are looking like they can't beat the bottom teams. Two years ago they beat Wigan 8-0 and this year they could not even beat Wigan. What's wrong with them??

Who is that cult figure? John Terry? He is playing quite OK what. As for Lampard, the coach is not even letting him play most of the time?

Chelsea is owned by a rich and impatient billionaire, managed by a man the same age as some of his players and captained by a millionaire who screwed his team-mates's gf, and whose father was once investigated for drug related charges and BOTH his mother and mother in law were once arrested for shop lifting.

True, but his team mates do not seem to have a problem with him (John Terry). He is often praised for his outstanding leadership qualities. It was rumoured that he and Drogba were behind the sacking of Scolari.

All professional footballers have serious problems. They come from working class backgrounds and most of them have no formal education beyond primary school. I think Frank Lampard is the only person in the whole EPL who has A levels, in the past there was a guy at Bolton who had a PhD but he is gone. They have to start training in football from the age of 6 or 7, so that is the only world they know.

Terry, Rooney, Ashley Cole, Rio Ferdinand, Joey Barton, Craig Bellamy, Balotelli all of them are idiots and if not for football they would be thugs

Mikel is damn useless. He doesn't do anything well, doesn't pass, tackle, head, shoot, run, defend, attack, block, etc etc I always wonder what he is doing on the pitch.

Terry is a bad influence in the dressing room when things are not going well. He always seems to be very sensible and composed but he is a thug.

Fergie is an old fart but did u notice how quietly and swiftly he removed the captaincy from Ferdinand and Giggs when their scandals broke?

They are probably proud of his actions to some degree.
What the team needs is the manager to take swift and quiet action like the birthday ah pek Fergie.
He is a bad influence especially when things are going badly.

It's funny that AVB demanded that his players run to the touchline and celebrate with the coaching staff after scoring goals.

Notice that Ramires, after scoring against Wolves, ran to the touchline along with all the Spanish/Portuguese/Brazilian players to do precisely that.

However when Frank Lampard scored, he did not do so.

I also read that AVB banned Anelka from the Chelsea Christmas lunch, and the players were so pissed off that they organised a separate lunch at a restaurant to send him off and wish him well ahead of his move to Shanghai.

problem with Chelsea is that they keep changing managers like the Japanese PM.

you need time for managers to get their ideas / playing style to get across and permeate through the team.

one or two season to gel and get used to the manager and vice-versa is a must.

Fergie / Wenger all did not win anything in their first few seasons at the club.

Unfortunately, soccer mgt nowdays is like cooking maggi mee, you want to see results fast.

The celebration was damn hilarious.
They linked arms as if they were doing a line dance.
Frank ran off in the other direction to celebrate with the Chelsea fans.
Number 1 asshole came to join in at the last minute and ended up only hugging a member of the staff.

I dun think much of this unshaven mumbly, although it could be that Roman will give him more time to build Rome.

It looks like Lampard is dulan with the management and feels as though he should not be a sacrificial lamb / scapegoat.

I actually wonder why he is often dropped, because he actually plays well despite being 33. Drogba on the other hand hardly does anything useful apart from the Newcastle and Valencia games, and yet he seems to start every single game.

It's not as though Meireles is better than Lampard. The entire Chelsea midfield is useless besides Ramires.

eh.. i beg to differ. Lamps not really playing that well. u can't judge him jus becuz he scored.
I witness he lost possession and pass the ball to oppo player in the centre mid, ttz really dangerous for oppo to counter. he is not focusing on the pitch.

as i mentioned before, he is not creative. ok he is scoring but why he seems to be always at striker position instead of the striker?wat actually is his role?
how come the striker floating in and out and support and whole team? the second goal score vs wolves was a neat thru pass by Torres and allow Cole to cross in.
