In Singapore, karma police is illegal and actually Muslims can report police if people harass them for eating in the day time during fasting month
In Kedah and Kelantan, Muslim police take long cane to cane people who eat in the day time.
I know a Malay auntie who said that she is not pious, she does not go to mosque. But Ramadan fasting she will do.
Also, those Minahs must love the beautiful mushroom shape of a post-sunat lanjiao tao.

She showed NO signs on observing the basic principles of fasting - self control & empathy for others, worse still to use the name of Islam to chastise others - which is unforgivable by ALLAH.
