u know,thats easy for u to say,u have the means and resources to create the kind of life u wish to live,not perfect but as much as reality permits.to escape.
u can choose to be selfish and live for yourself,theres nothing wrong with that,aint nobody's gonna judge that.i suppose if life is meaningless and nobody gives a shit then at least u have the consolation of having the money to do whatever u want and being the master of ur fate and captain of ur insignificant soul in this infinite universe?

but there are many of us who are stuck in this hellhole,one of millions that are struggling in a world of no pity,a underclass of poorly paid slaves,with a government that couldnt give a shit about u and are only concerned with masturbating themselves with statistics and their symbols of "success" and huge profit margins.....instead of a government that tries to balance the budget to meet the needs of the nation they are only concerned with the success of their companies and the burgeoning size of their sovereign portfolios.how can u reconcile a country where the class divide is so stark?between those who have nothing and those who have so much?those whose lives are more worthless than rats and they slave to earn a pittance while the elites throw about unimaginable sums like its "peanuts"?

u know we dont ask for equality or fairness or anything,we dont care if WP or any hodge podge party can change the country or the mess its in.we dont ask for the cloths of heavens or heavenly riches.we only ask for one thing-REVENGE.

There may be an initial feeling of euphoria on election night in 2016 if this happens but a year or so later, people will be realising that if their lives were a mess under the PAP, they'd still have exactly the same problems under the WP or whatever hodge podge coalition that is running the country.

I have regular contact with a number of Singapore families who moved to NZ for the sake of their kids.

Guess what, almost half of those I know have had at least one of their children move back to Singapore to work after they've come of age. They don't like NZ. They find the opportunities in Singapore to be far better.

Kids will do whatever they want once they reach adulthood. Don't try to second guess what is good for them.

Don't bullshit....all those I know, WILL NEVER COME BACK....nor their descendants!....I have plenty of school mates in Perth & other parts of Australia, Canada , States...a Nordic country. Actually, there is some truth to this observation. Our country reimburses HR hunters five-digits per former-singaporean, if they can get you to return to work in a good position in Singapore, including civil service.

Emergence of stronger oppo party will propel papees to work harder for the country unlike their current arrogant attitude. GE 2016 may not topple the papees but it will sting the papees to do soul searching to get rid of foreigners in the country and cherish the natives.

WP unlikely to topple papees in GE2016 but it can pack a whopper to hantam the papees in electoral votes. Life after GE2016 will still be under the control of papees but they will get rid of under-performing MPs with frog mouths like that Amy Khor.

- we test drive each other's new cars during ICT, hahaha one of the car's video player had a "hard truth" DVD
- in every 1-2 bunks, i can find someone reading "one men view of world" or "hard truth" during rest time
- in every bunk, i can find at least a scholar or civil servant or grassroot volunteer

You see, it is real that 60% is pro govt. We are the minority and the 60% are happier than us because they embraced the current system. If they are not happier, then at least the 60% are more selfish:
- RUN knows taxi drivers who everyday scold govt but ends up voting for current regime
- RUN has colleagues who everyday scold govt, their votes still go to incumbent because they feel that opp MP's appeal letter are less powerful when they need help.
- RUN has friends who everyday scold govt but fears that stock market will crash, currency will drop, inflation, so they don't vote for opposition.
- RUN knows that many want opposition but, but not in their own ward (during General Elections), because their estates will get priority in infrastructure improvements. That explains why 1/2 of the 60% didn't vote of the incumbent-endorsed during Presidential Elections.

RUN understands that many rich and powerful holds more than one citizenship, they will leave singapore in times of crisis & war.

Something really bothers me.

I have been trying to find a place for my children to settle down. But they are under 21, so effectively, my wife have to leave with them to that they qualify for residency and eventually citizenship for my kids. I can't go because i need to take care of the elders in my family. I love my kids a lot, it saddens me that i have to break up my family so that my children can move on.





I know time is running out because my children are older, but i cannot decide where to send them yet.

although singapore land is not perfect place to grow your kids , but does not mean here is a lousy place.
you have your point to send them away, do the best for your kids.
