The Wayang Madmen of SBF has now made a u-turn on their position on Tan Kin Lian.

First they attacked him for being a PAP plant.

Then they become good terms with him (because Wayang Madmen want to get TKL's blog audience to visit the Madmen blog).

Now, they attack Tan Kin Lian for wanting to stand for elections:

"This is a gimmick. TKL is a wily old fox. Why did he quit PAP only 3 months ago ? And now he wants to run for presidency when previously he has been playing down the suggestion ?"

Fair enough.

I recall hearing opinions expressed that between the PAP and the Opposition, votes will be given to the Opposition anytime even if they do not have the qualifications for it.

That implies to me that most of the Opposition transcend their personal agendas in favour of having a credible opposition.

Yet when it comes to details, that is not the case for some.

An analogy would be a bunch of crabs in a basket. When one crab shows enough talent to climb out, the others will pull it down. Yet all seek to climb out of the basket into freedom.

And my question once again: why not help each other climb out of the basket?

Surely this is worth moving away from personal agendas?
