While the numbers are said to be fairly indicative of the outcome, the ELD has advised the public to wait for the announcement of the final election results by the Returning Officer, Mr Ng Wai Choong.

The Returning Officer has already concluded that sample count is the result!

In a first world democracy, the election department will, throughout the counting process, tell voters how many ballot boxes have been counted and update the result after each ballot box is counted. Not our Election Department. Instead, it is just offering sample count which can be skewed.

Sample count is definitely NOT a good indicator of the result.
