a draw...why?

bcos Liverpool overwhelmed with expectations - they will crack
gerrard not playing
man c will be determined to put up a good show to redeem themselves.

Will be rooting for Liverpool, LOL

Got this strange feeling that Liverfools will whip the asses of Man City.. A win for the Reds will make the title race more open and interesting..Unlike Man Utd under Fergie, I don't think Man City have that mental strength to last them through out the season.. Sooner or later they will crack under pressure... Dalglish just like Fergie are seasoned masters of the pyschological games.. He will have Bellamy all fired up for this game against his former team..Lpool got a good record so far against the big boys with their defeat against Hotspurts the only exception.. They will be on a high after their Chelsea game.. A win for them will kickstart their stuttering league campaign..

C'mon Liverfools..!!!

Some potential crackers this weekend. They could also be duds.

Man Utd vs Newcastle

Can take Man Utd and pang liao. Newcastle no longer a virgin. As long Obertan remains injured, D.Ba is helpless. Newcastle won't be a real threat.

interesting proposition -

chelsea vs wolves.

chelsea's confidence at all time low, shaky...defeat to wolves will mean AVB become first mgr to get pink slip this season.

Stamford bridge is no longer a fortress.

Gerard is no more the player he once was and his back passing often leaves the ball at the foot of his opponent with disastrous result. Doesn't matter whether he is in or out. Liverpool needs to play with a lot of pace but whether they can sustain the pace in every game is another matter. If they play timid, the ball stays at rear defence, the midfield will not be able to impose and they are dead.

i watched the first half bet Liverpool & Chelsea, their midfield is like eager puppies snapping at the ankles of the chelsea players....so much so that Mikel committed an error resulting in first goal.

ok, maybe Gerrard is still jaded...but his set pieces are still powderful...reference the goal against Man U...Giggs the seasoned player is so scared that he has to siam and cover his balls...LOL

Why so many people against MC? They are all MU supporters?

It's nothing personal. It's business. MC away from home. MC just played on Tuesday so there's the fatigue factor there. And Liverfool is a better team than MC even though MC has the better players.

Agree. Better to take home - Liverpool.

Fatique factor? MC can field 2 capable teams in the BPL. I suspect they will not be 'mentally' ready given their loss to Napoli.

They have never been mentally ready. Their good form is entirely down to their individual skill.
