If I'm a minority, I would not be pleased to know that any minority President is there only because the system is fixed " to ensure minority candidates have a chance to be elected."
The President whether elected, nominated or whatever is suppose to represent all the people-and are they saying that non minority Presidents so far cannot represent the interest of the minority?
If the system need to be fixed to ensure a minority president, than how about the GRC's system that was established to ensure that the minority will always be represented in Parliament -where at least one-quarter of the total number of MPs must be representatives of GRCs.
So is it because the GRC's serve "other " purposes-as the opposition will find it more difficult to field enough candidates?
