[新頭殼newtalk] 「醋」是消費者經常使用的調味品之一,近年也有需多人用食用醋來養生,而消基會為幫消費者把關,抽驗市售20件商品,僅一件烏醋酸度未達國家標準,但因主管機關衛福部食藥署未公告納管,導致無法可罰。對此,消基會籲請衛福部訂定品質標準,包含酸度、無鹽可溶性固形物等項目,當業者違規時才有法可罰。
消基會食品委員會委員江文章指出,食用醋分成3類,此次抽驗市售20件產品,釀造食醋10件、調理食醋9件、合成食醋1件,進行酸度、無鹽可溶性固形物、標示、甜味劑做調查與測驗,結果顯示僅1件合成食醋因酸度只有2.4%,未達國家標準,其餘產品皆符合。

不過,衛福部2018年7月1日開始實施「包裝食用醋標示規定」,其中僅規定產品需標示「調理食醋」與「合成食醋」,卻未將國家標準的食用醋酸度、無鹽可溶性固形物等品質標準,納入《食安法》規範,導致業者產品不符國家標準,也不會被開罰。
消基會呼籲衛福部應該訂定品質標準,當業者不符標準時,因標示不實,可依《食安法》第45條,開罰4萬以上400萬元以下。
而對於坊間有許多喝醋能改善酸性體質的說法,消基會則說,事實上,人體有一套機制能維持血液的酸鹼值平衡,並非單靠吃某些食物就能改變,許多市售果醋為了增加風味,常添加大量的糖,若是經常飲用這類含高糖的果醋,不僅無法改善酸性體質,其中的高糖分更可能造成肥胖,對健康毫無助益。
