Warning signs that apply to TIA and stroke

One in ten people who suffer the symptoms of a transient ischemic attack (TIA) go on to have a stroke within a week if they remain untreated.

A TIA, is a sign that part of the brain isn't getting enough blood. Each year more than 46,000 people have their first TIA.

Taking Vitamin D supplements reduce the risk of suffering from a stroke, cancer, diabetes, heart attack, etc.

To play it safe, I strongly recommend (for everyone to be) taking 2 or 3 different brands of vitamin D pills together daily, just in case (the pill contents of) some brands turn out to be less bioavailable (ie. effective) than others.

Can you tell what dosage of Vit D for each brand?
Also, what brand to get in Guardian or Unity?

Dosage details are given on the bottle, and differs from brand to brand. Some brands even have different Vit D products (eg. normal dosage vs high dosage, alone vs other vitamins mixed together).

See Wikipedia for the optimum daily recommended dosage, then apply accordingly to the brands/products you buy.

As for which brands to buy, I repeat : safer to buy at least 2 different brands, and take both simultaneously. Go with whichever brands your intuition/gut-feel/research/discrimination tells you is more reliable. Buying minimum of 2 brands simultaneously, should be adequately safe.

Frankly, that's good advice for all important supplements, but works especially well with Vit D, coz it's relatively cheap.

FYI, I take 2 x 8 pills daily :

2 pills of Vit D (for cancer prevention)
2 pills of Turmeric (for diabetes prevention)
2 pills of CoQ10 (the better Ubiquinol form, not the lousier Ubiquinone form, for heart attack prevention)
2 pills of Milk Thistle (for liver health; poor liver health is linked either directly or indirectly to hundreds of different diseases)

That's 8 pills per serving. Most days I take 2 servings (eg. one in morning, one at night), some days I take 1 serving, some days I take 3 servings.
