No lose is equal to win. Didn't lose much is equal to entertainment.
Congrats to your family members made some profits home.

I am looking forward to win that M3 at RWS too :p
RWS gave away 8 Lambos in 30months, ave one Lambo in every 3-4 months worths 1.2M (w/o coe). Therefore, I suppose they are going to give away one M3 every 1-2 months which worths 300k (w/o coe). I am always ready to take it if I hit :p, the cash offer for this car probably going be only 150k. Althought M3 has a common look and a little lack of space, but it is surely a powerful machine, cool. I have special preference in underrated car.

Anyone been to RWS recently, they cut off alot of the free play!!!
Now dun have the "earn 25 points get 25 NN dollars slot play, earn 100 points get 100 dollars NN chip or slot play"
Even the extra credit is a ridiculous 50 points today for 10 dollars NN slot play.
Heard that the monthly free play and hotel room also gonna be cancelled too.

Not a high roller, chalks up only about 500-1000 pts a month, but getting used to all these promos for almost half a year already and suddenly it's gone is really sad.

Bro Kia, are u affected?

Yep. I am affected. Also Didn't redeem mine before it expired cos it was too crowded.

Now, the payout also sucks. In my last 2 outings, I hit many features on the usual 5D/5K. But none of them are worth mentioning here. Payment sucks big time. In one of the feature, I got 3 substitutes in column 2, 3 and 4 and I didn't even get a FH. My worst feature payout was ~2-3k credits on max bet. Seems to be going through dry spell now.

Yes the payout sucks ! Heard from the staff and hosts allowances are cut and the payouts are definitely adjusted downwards. This dosen mean thAt u wun win, but would win less often.
I think the whole genting group cuting costs as a whole and also lowering the paybacks and jackpots.

Was in genting 2 weeks back the the dealers were complaing that their allowances were cut big time and super unhappy :(

back from our KL Genting Lion city draw..

My wife didn't win any of the five cars..
but we had a good meal (free abalone lunch at International Rest.) and buffet dinner.

also got free 200 GP credited into her account for attending the Dinner.

(i got RM100 free...for travel subsidy...so is my bro and his wife who went up with us)
we drove up...No traffic problem and Road blocked encountered.

We didn't lose much, just within budgets...and small donation for the entertainment

but my Bro hit jackpot of abt RM8000 (major jackpot!) from Konami - Vibrant 7s.

Both my bro/sis-in-law..went home with a big "plus" surplus...
(she hit the jackpot party level 2 as well...!)

I din go for the draw even though the odds are 5 in 500 which is about 1 in 100!! Better than any slot machines.
Heard that this kind of draw, they usually give the prizes to those super big whale players only. It's kinda fixed

Am wondering what kinda machines do they have there.. was there in June but didnt have the chance to go in.. Am hoping there are new WMS machines there like the G+ Deluxe kind.. coz i could find Queen Of The Wild in main Starworld which i was excited about and won quite a bit on.. Just wondering whether there are more variety of new WMS machines there.. WOuld appreciate the info!

Was there reccently. They stocked it mainly with the new machines in Starworld so it is a good place to go if you want to play a new machine and find it monopolised. Biggest draw are a couple of big screen slots featuring Ghostbusters, Batman n Robin etc. It is however not very popular and quite easy to get a seat.

Best deal when I was there is the beer you can exchange for 1 gp + RM2. It is however limited to one per day.

Another good deal is the RM 35 per bottle wine which you can order at Coffee Terrace with buffet lunch/dinner. Pretty drinkable.

PS machines are not as friendly at this period, be cautious everybody and I burnt myself one more time last evening.

Bryan wong is surely one high roller, I have seen him many times when I was with MBS levy last year, he always on max bet no matter what demon (5/10/20cts). There are a few more local celebrities that are slot regular too, Huang Wen Yong is among one and the others, I don't their names.

for this Lion city draw.. (singaporean only eligible)
they took in the top 1000 "highest point earner" for the period (for a few months)
and they took in another 1000 (250 X 4 times)-
through lucky draw (during the qualifying period)

my wife was lucky to be chosen..whilst me and my other families members were not picked.
my wife..is a "small time punter"... we average only about RM600-RM700 per day (bankroll)
(cannot be called "whales" ..maybe "very small ikan bilis --- haha)

in the latest draw..4 cars were won by "aunties"..who doesn't look like "big timers"

the draws..were conducted on the spot..(picked by top Management staff)
and the lucky winners..must be there on the spot..with their membership cards..

picked their "own selected numbers in a brief case" (like Deal or No Deal game).
You choose your own lucky prizes..
(18 prizes were given away.. 5 cars..; 1 XRM8000 and the rest RM1000)

i think..you can find those alot of WMS games over there..but they do not seem popular over there..
i find WMS games..rather cold at time..and payout so-so, can never hit big (very seldom win on their machines
even get "free games...get poor payout)
they new star World pavillion areas...took over the "stage performances show areas..
it is big and spacious..but looks thin in the crowd..

they just shifted the "lucky Garden (Konami) which was popular at one time... to the Main casino and replaced it with "jackpot party"
then....that "jackpot party stand..becomes "ghost town"...(haha)

you may try the "fafafa" there but last visit saw one man burnt betting 300 credits/pull..

i still think..that new StarWorld pavillion..is "still recovering" her constructions cost..
my advise : not to stay too long there..

the machines..are so so..
you can try IGT Batman/ghost buster (very interactive! and fun) but once recover cost.."run!"

for newer machines on WMS...i think you go to International Room better..

(singaporean..get "silver card" and can go to International Room)

Bros I got this from the net, just to share to all bros

When it comes to gambling, the easier a game is to understand the worse the odds usually are. This is certainly the case with slot machines. Playing them is as easy as pressing a button. However, between the high house edge and fast rate of play, there is no quicker way to lose your money in a casino.

How They Work

Whether you're playing a 3-reel single-line game or a 5-reel 25-line game, the outcome of every bet is ultimately determined by random numbers. The game will choose one random number for each reel, map that number onto a position on the reel, stop the reel in the appointed place, and score whatever the outcome is. In other words, the outcome is predestined the moment you press the button; the rest is just for show. There are no hot and cold cycles; your odds are the same for every spin on a given machine.

Slot machines are just about the only game in the casino where the odds are not quantifiable. In other words, the player doesn't know how the game was designed, so it is difficult to look at an actual game to use as an example. So, to help explain how they work, I created the Atkins Diet slot machine (link). It is a simple, five-reel game with a free spin bonus round, much like IGT's Cleopatra game.

For information on how it works and all the odds, please visit my Atkins Diet design.

Advice

While there is no skill to playing slots, there is some skill in selecting which machine to play and ways you can maximize your return. What follows is my advice, if you must play slots at all.

Always use a player card. Slots may be a lousy bet, but the casinos treat slot players very well. A $1 slot player will probably get comped better than a $100 blackjack player. Of course, don't play for the reason of getting comps. You'll give them a lot more than they'll give you.

The simpler the game, the better the odds. The fancy games with big signs and video screens tend to not pay as well as the simple games. Then again, perhaps the extravagant games are more fun.

In some games there is a skill feature, like Top Dollar. In such games, advice is usually offered, which you should take.

The higher the denomination, the better the odds. For that reason, it is better to play one coin per line on a 5-cent game than five coins per line on a 1-cent game.

[And this may sound obvious, but d]on't forget to cash out and take your ticket when you leave. It is easy to forget after hitting a jackpot, and you want to leave on a high note.

Myths and Facts

Just about everything that players believe about slots is untrue. Here are the most common myths and facts.

•Myth: Slot machines are programmed to go through a cycle of payoffs. Although the cycle can span thousands of spins, once it reaches the end the outcomes will repeat themselves in exactly the same order as the last cycle.

Fact: This is not true at all. Every spin is random and independent of all past spins.

•Myth: Slot machines are programmed to pay off a particular percentage of money bet. Thus, after a jackpot is hit the machine will tighten up to get back in balance. On the other hand, when a jackpot has not been hit for a long time it is overdue and more likely to hit.

Fact: As just mentioned, each spin is independent of all past spins. That means that for a given machine game, the odds are always the same. It makes no difference when the last jackpot was hit or how much the game paid out in the last hour, day, week, or any period of time.

•Myth: Machines pay more if a player card is not used.

Fact: The mechanism that determines the outcome of each play does not consider whether a card is used or not. The odds are the same with or without one.

•Myth: Using a player card enables the casino to report my winnings to the IRS.

Fact: That makes no difference. If you win $1,200 or more they will report it either way. If you have a net losing year, which you probably will, at least the casino will have evidence of it. Such annual win/loss statements may be used as evidence to declare offsetting loses to jackpot wins.

•Myth: The slot department can tighten my game with the press of a button remotely. Thus, you better be nice to the staff and tip them well, or they will use a remote control to have the machine take you down in a hurry.

Fact: There is now some truth to the myth that the odds of a machine can be changed remotely. Such "server-based slots" are still experimental and in a minority. Even with server-based slots, there are regulations in place to protect the player from the perceived abuses that could accompany them. For example, in Nevada a machine can not be altered remotely unless it has been idle for at least four minutes. Even then, the game will display a notice that it is being serviced during such changes. (source ) Meanwhile, for the vast majority of slots, somebody would physically need to open the machine and change a computer chip, known as an EPROM chip, to make any changes.

•Myth: The machines by the doors and heavy traffic flow areas tend to be loose while those hidden in quiet corners tend to be tight.

Fact: I've studied the relationship between slot placement and return and found no correlation. Every slot director I've asked about this laughs it off as just another player myth.

•Myth: Slots tend to be looser during slow hours on slow days of the week. However, when the casino is busy they tighten them up.

Fact: Nobody would take the trouble to do this, even if he could. The fact of the matter is the casinos are trying to find a good balance between winning some money while letting the player leave happy. That is best achieved by slots loose enough to give the player a sufficiently long "time on device," as they call it in the industry, with a reasonable chance of winning so he will return to the same casino next time. If the slots are too tight, the players will sense it and be unlikely to return.

The kind of place you're likely to find tight slots are those with a captive audience, like the Las Vegas airport. So, if the slot manager feels that 92% is the right return for a penny game, for example, he is likely to set every penny game all that way, and keep them that way for years.

Wed day trip report - "167" ( Yi lu qi )
No chance to get a feel of winning, a "one way ticket" game, burnt again.
Nothing special to report about the games, just a brief report on how to redeem your mooncakes. Before you proceed to redeem your box of mooncake at Wing Choi, you need to print a voucher from the member kiosk machine with your membership card. Hard for me to read the tiny wordings on screen without old flower spec and stressed by the Q behind... I printed only 1 voucher and left. I supposed I am able to print more vouchers since I have played more than 500gp for the past 1 week?
Mooncake collection time 12PM-8PM.
Voucher vaild from 3 sept ~ 30 sept.
I intend to accumalute all my mooncake vouchers and redeem in 1 trip before my mid autumn festival celebration. Will be holding a party on 28 sept within my company compound, give away all the RWS mookcake to foreign workers :p, and probably fly some sky lanterns (Kongming Lantern). Shhhhh~~~ we are not supposed to launch sky lanterns in singapore, illegal.
