Dog kept in crate in Jurong industrial area, owner says he's secret society member & unafraid of authorities

A dog was found on Mar. 30 living in a cramped crate with little ventilation among debris and rubbish at 14 Penjuru Road in Jurong industrial area.

The dog was discovered by volunteers from dog welfare group Chained Dog Awareness in Singapore (CDAS), which uploaded videos and pictures of the dog's plight, and their exchange with the dog's owner.

Not afraid of authorities

When approached about the dog's living conditions, the owner said he was a member of a secret society and was not afraid of authorities.

CDAS said they have lodge reports with the Animal Veterinary Service (AVS) and the police.

CDAS: Dog was found living in "cramped dungeon"

Describing what they saw, CDAS said the young dog was trapped in "a cramped crate with little ventilation" and lived "among debris and garbage".

The condition of the enclosure was described as "sweltering under the scorching sun".

The group added that it was an understatement to say the dog was living in a "dungeon".

"Instead of being able to run around freely, and explore all that life has to offer him, this poor dog is left cowering in his crate for hours on end each day, unable to even stand straight," said CDAS.

When CDAS visited the dog again, they found that it was confined to a small cage at night.

A muzzle and chain can also be seen attached to the dog's cage.

Owner claims to be secret society member

CDAS also confronted the owner of the dog and recorded their conversation with him.

In the voice recording, the owner defended his decision to keep the dog in conditions like these, saying that the dog has enough space to stand up if it wanted.

He said the dog had grown used to living in conditions like these.

He also said the items he piled on top of the dog's cage was to shield the dog from the sun.

The owner then said he has been through a lot of things, and was not afraid of the authorities.

He then told the CDAS volunteers he was a secret society member, and had brushes with the authorities and was not afraid of them.

Singapore is a RULE Of LAW nation. ELECTED representatives determine the direction of society NOW, as it had been since Humankind descended from barbaric caves & jungles that believes in the Rule of Might that saw only regression of Humankind to primitive state-where only the STRONG & UNCONSCIONABLE is the law without the care of others which was found unsustainable as far too many Humans were sacrificed for petty egos.

In civilized Singapore, thru the hardwork & sacrifices of founding fathers & many, so many, that saw our evolution & progress from being slaves to empires for centuries to be a respected independent sovereign Rule of Law nation today, is there a need for such so called secret societies whom are only present day bullies whom serve only their OWN selfish desires?

No. They should be rounded up, jailed & even CANED to let them know WHO is the boss now. It's not the PM, the Cabinet, or Parliament. It is us-hardworking CITIZENS of a hard won independent & sovereign nation by so many, so many, once despised & left to be presumed dead within months upon independence but rolled up sleeves to create our present today- we whom seek for progress & evolution upon our unique SACRED National Pledge, the only kind in this chaotic world which we swore from since 6 years old to uphold till today & into the future for our descendants, whom ARE the real Boss thru the power of our free & fair vote.

Today, there are still a few street corner gangs & individuals whom claimed they belong to secret societies, such as the infamous 369, to frighten kids into joining them, paying them their recess money, extortion, fights, etc. Those naive still don't realize that 369 & their suchlike gangs had LONG been exterminated, with their dragon leaders rotting in jails, & their lieutenants subservient to the Rule of Law today, to survive & keep their earnings legal.

Any citizen today who is approached by a bully who claimed to be from secret societies, ask them which, & then just tell them one too belong to a society - with the number 999. Societal funded Police & Justice Department STANDS READY to help ANYTIME, upon a call. Thus may no citizen be bullied anymore.

There is no need for any bullying in a Rule of Law society. To live in PEACE with each other, just follow the Golden Rule since Civilization began - Do not do unto others what you do not want others to do UNTO you. For any dispute, it need NOT resort to bullying, threats or harm.
