Calm down, Chill. Let not ENVY cloud your own perceptions of unfairness due to the lack of your own goals in life, to mere football, lepak, etc, while others are more hardworking & willing to aspire & work hard to put food on the table for themselves & loved ones.,,

Most Ministers, or at the least MPs, had already proven themselves with stable incomes & capabilities proven since their recorded & educated youthful times, - activities, outreach to civilian uplifting events, leadership, etc, in the free market place or institutions such as the military or stat boards, BEFORE they are even considered as Members of Parliament within the current ruling party, unlike any where else in Singapore or the World where even a mere uneducated tea seller can become a PM in India, or a often dozing village moronic Islamic cleric can lead a Nation like in Persia Iran, with the sad consequences to citizens & Humanity that follows & proven.

With HONEST earnings, an MP would be able to SAVE enough to at least pay down payment for loans to purchase homes, & with foresight into the future based upon REALITIES, that others lack whom interests were only in 4d or football matches or trysts in Geylang sexual satisfaction, the more discerning would had invested decades ago & now reap the profits from their foresight.

The rich do not get rich by spending, but by savings, sacrifices & foresight.

Thus, do not envy, but blame oneself for LACK of foresight, planning & savings.

'InshaAllah' is a great comfort, but ultimately, ALLAH will only help those whom are willing to help themselves to acknowledge mistakes, correct them & improve, to earn an honest living to put food on the table for oneself, loved ones & society...

How can one be helped if one is NOT willing to help themselves, get off the couch or bed & earn an honest wage for sustainable living?

It is STILL not too late to improve, not in current Singapore. Opportunities still await for those who are willing to seize honest opportunities such as skill upgrading, etc funded by taxpayers in our caring society...

Time & tide waits for no mortal, as those whom bought even mere HDB flats at $15k in 1970s discovered today.....

Oh please! Who's envious of those bunch of idiots? There are many far more capable and competent Sinkies out there who can easily fill their roles. The bulk of the work are done by civil servants anyway. For example, what does an ex-SAF general know about education? Yet we have one as an Education Ministar. Someone who can't even differentiate between cotton and wool. How to respect them? These bunch of bozos are just riding on the coattails of a reputable, competent and established govt set up by the 1st G leaders.
