For the second time in two days, a public bus went off its route and got stuck in the most unlikeliest of places. It has happened after an SMRT bendy bus got stuck in a field at Kim Keat after trying to make a u-turn in a grass patch at Kim Keat Avenue. This time it is an SBS Transit bus. It was found in a tennis court next to Yio Chu Kang MRT station on Friday (Sept 30) evening.

The bus apparently crashed through a fence and hit a lamppost before coming to a stop. The tennis court was not occupied at the time of the incident and no one was reported injured.

Ms Tammy Tan, senior vice-president of corporate communications, said that SBS Transit was “stunned that this has happened and will certainly be launching an investigation into it.”

WTF...how on earth can such a kind of accident happen....shows that:

1 highly dangerous for pedestrians and other road users in areas close to bus interchanges (many aunties and uncles already got killed);

2 bus drivers not trained or briefed on proper way to drive safely out of the station..

3 bus drivers driving out of stations are highly inattentive to other road users....

Singapore is becoming worse and worse....dangerous even walking on the road (cyclists, e scotters, bus drivers, litter from top of apartments, etc
