No, the Chinese do not want war. When Russia couldn't end the war fast enough, it becomes annoying to all.
All problem and implication comes. Putin has made the wrong move.
I think Wang Yi labelled the special military operation as a war recently and urged for negotiations to settle the differences.

SHANGHAI, March 20 (Reuters) – China stands on the right side of history over the Ukraine crisis as time will tell, and its position is in line with the wishes of most countries, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said.
“China will never accept any external coercion or pressure, and opposes any unfounded accusations and suspicious against China,” Wang told reporters on Saturday evening, according to a statement published by his ministry on Sunday.
Wang’s comments came after U.S. President Joe Biden warned his Chinese counterpart, Xi Jinping, on Friday of “consequences” if Beijing gave material support to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
During the video call, Xi told Biden the war in Ukraine must end as soon as possible and called on NATO nations to hold a dialogue with Moscow. He did not, however, assign blame to Russia, according to Beijing’s statements about the call.
Wang said the most important message Xi sent was that China has always been a force for maintaining world peace.
“We have always stood for maintaining peace and opposing war,” Wang said, reiterating that China will make independent judgements.
“China’s position is objective and fair, and is in line with the wishes of most countries. Time will prove that China’s claims are on the right side of history.”
Also on Saturday, Vice Foreign Minister Le Yucheng said that sanctions imposed by Western nations on Russia over Ukraine were increasingly “outrageous”.
The United States and its European and Asian allies have imposed sweeping sanctions on Russia for the Feb. 24 invasion of its neighbour, which they call a war of aggression by President Vladimir Putin. He says he launched a “special operation” to demilitarise and “denazify” Ukraine.
While saying it recognises Ukraine’s sovereignty, Beijing has repeatedly said that Russia has legitimate security concerns that should be addressed and urged a diplomatic solution to the conflict.

This is where your view is very limited and myopic. During this critical juncture, China can play a well respected role if it helps to suppress Bloodymir Putin to stop the war and mediate a face-saving solution to reach a peace deal with Zelensky.
If Winnie will know where he stands, he can stand to gain tremendous good out of it. Judging from the sanctions on Russia and the foreign companies leaving Russia, Winnie should be able to see for himself that China will suffer the same implications if it were to invade Taiwan. Why does China needs to invade Taiwan? For its land mass, China itself is already hundreds of times larger than Taiwan. For its technologies, if Taiwan will be shelled like Ukraine today, what technologies can China benefit from it?
Be a good nation, forget about conquering Taiwan, work well with Taiwan (as independents) and build good relations. Loosen the grip on Hong Kong and XinJiang, after all, they will always be a part of China and this cannot be disputed. Show to the world that the CCP has changed and is willing to work in a fair manner for the better of tomorrow.
If the CCP can fulfill these achievements, the world will begin to see China in a better light. Japan, South Korea, ASEAN, Europe and even the Americans will start to begin to accept China as a willing partner. Together, everyone prospers. But because of the greed from the over zealous and over ambitious Winnie, all these are not going to happen.

Winnie wants more than just taiwan. He wants the open ocean but tsiwan is in the way.
What you need to understand is US and it’s All Lies are but a tiny part of the world. As you rightly realised China is the key to peaceful end of this war. China carries tremendous weight as it is the only super power that could bring some sanity to this crazy mess. US is not in the position to demand. China is only interested to work together if US understands we talk on equal terms, which is already giving a lot of respect to US.

Are you okay? With trade, everyone knows that China trades with huge amount of advantages with its trading partners. If possible, they will want their goods to be sold with no tariffs whilst imported goods into China are subjected to the taxation at their discretion. With technologies, everyone knows that China has been stealing IP rights, especially on those foreign companies set up in China. Already, there are so many concessions given to China and this is the exact reason why China can be so rich today.

Your company does trade with China. You should know better. Need I say more? Told you before, when we sold our machines to China, we had to mark up at least 30% because it is very common/usual for the last 20% payment to be unrecoverable because they will come up with all sorts of unjustified excuses to say that the supplied machines are not performing up to expectations. Even if you go for arbitration, it will have to be in a Chinese court and you are already as good as losing your case if you choose to go into arbitration.
My company is an angmoh company which relies on big tech in China for growth in the last 5 years. There are occasional bad paymasters but otherwise, China has been our top performing country in AsiaPac for the last 5 years. The ignorant thinks China depends on the west etc. I can tell you without the huge pockets of Chinese conglomerates many angmo MNCs would have folded. I don’t know what kind of Chinese customers you deal with, probably some small timers who can’t make ends meet. You find such companies anywhere in the world.
