MARCUS RASHFORD (Age: 21; Apps: 166; Signed: trainee; Contract expires in 2020 with option of another year)
The best player at the club in Sir Alex Ferguson’s eyes, the England striker will be at the centre of Solskjaer’s rebuilding operation. He has cut a somewhat sulky figure in some matches of late, which needs thrashing out of him quickly, and his form has dipped but he needs far better service from midfield and the wide areas. A little worryingly for United, he is in no rush to sign a new deal.
Verdict: Keep

ROMELU LUKAKU (Age: 25; Apps: 94; Signed: 2017; Contract expires in 2022 with optin of another year)
The Belgium striker is open to a move after being put in the shop window by his representative, Federico Pastorello, this month and if United get offered the right money for him Solskjaer will consider cashing in. Blows hot and cold far too often and doubts have long persisted over whether his playing style is the right fit, although he is the most proven goalscorer at the club and would need replacing very carefully.
Verdict: Sell so long as the offer is good

ANTHONY MARTIAL (Age: 23; Apps: 172; Signed: 2015; Contract expires in 2024 with option of another year)
Mourinho wanted to sell Martial last summer but that was vetoed by United’s board but Solskjaer is starting to discover why his predecessor had so many misgivings about the France forward, who has long faced questions about his attitude. Does he have the hunger and drive required and what about his errant decision-making? The hope that Martial would benefit playing under a manager who would put an arm around his shoulder and give him more licence to attack has yet to materialise and his performance level of late has been nowhere near good enough. He faces a huge next 12 months at Old Trafford.
Verdict: Keep but if there are not clear signs of improvement next season then sell

JESSE LINGARD (Age: 26; Apps: 165; Signed: trainee; Contract expires in 2021 with option of another year)
The worry for Solskjaer is how badly Lingard’s form has tailed off recently but he is a clever player, albeit one who needs to offer a greater level of consistency and score more goals. That may come with better, more driven players around him. Now 26, the England forward needs to be showing the leadership of a more senior player.
Verdict: Keep

ALEXIS SANCHEZ (Age: 30; Apps: 42; Signed: 2018; Contract expires in 2022 with option of another year)
The Chile striker’s signing from Arsenal is threatening to go down as one of the worst in Premier League history. United would happily cash in this summer but they would probably have to waive a fee and heavily subsidise his £500,000 a week wages for that to happen, unless an interested party from China appeared. Aside from his wretched form, Sanchez’s huge salary is destabilising United’s wage structure and leading other players to demand massively inflated salaries.
Verdict: Sell, and if he cannot be sold, subsidise a move elsewhere

Bro Yinyang, it's not about who we keep and discard. If the club refuses to admit the flaw on their wage structure, bonuses and the monetary incentives, we will be faced with the same issues again next season. It's team incentives that is missing or the individual rewards far outweigh the team.

Players should be ashamed to pick up their wages. Overpaid slaves:rolleyes:

Still, culling's called for. And you may get your wish on P Jones

Glazers won't do it. They're in it for the money. Ed has been doing their numbers since Fergie's time. They'll have to get rid of the Glazers if they want change.

Man Utd and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer SLAMMED in embarrassing MUTV live gaffe

MANCHESTER UNITED fan Geoffrey Boycott gave a scathing assessment of the club and manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in an embarrassing video that was aired live on their official television channel.

......
Boycott was asked to sum up what United meant to him at the moment and he replied: “Disappointment more than anything.

“For half of the season there was hope, some enjoyment, some good times.

“And somehow, it’s kind of faded away towards the end.

.......
The football hasn’t been inspiring, if anything they’ve let themselves down and the people that support Man Utd, because I think they’re a bit better than that.

“But, it’s not just the results. Some of the football has been hard to watch.”.......

If Daniel James is the type of player OGS wants to rebuild MUFC, I am 100% behind him. Do away with those expensive, cut throat foreign niggers. Get rid of some of the local ones as well. Build an English core starting from the back. The present lot can't cut it and stay away from the South Americans for now.
Btw, Daniel James is a Pool fan but so was OGS. The best news of the day is the Pizza man was handed a global suspension and Pogba's dream move to REAL is temporarily delayed. LOL!!!!:roflmao:

Mendes should also be banned.

Mendez ad the lot ought to have their commission capped. On top of that, if they're found guilty of flouting any code of ethics with regards to their profession, they should be given lengthy suspension.
Raiola was blatant and had the gall to approach City when he's prized asset was a United player. FIFA should look into this 'churning' disease before it kills the game.

To say that MUFC need a radical change would be the understatement of the year. A reorganization and rethinking of football on and off the field was imminent when SAF left. Methinks Arse is likely to get ahead of us in the coming seasons. Emery knows what he has to do and with a new director of football appointment already in it's place, they can only get better.
If OGS fails to reach a respectable position in the first 10 games, you can be sure he'll get the sack. If he doesn't stamp his authority and be ruthless like SAF, we could be fighting to stave off relegation next season. It doesn't matter if the player is 'homegrown'. The message of form and fitness has to be made very clear to all.

On hindsight, his permanent appointment seemed premature but Ed acted on it because the uncertainty of the appointment could lead to key players holding back on a new contract. When it became fact, the players made a U-turn. The wage structure was in complete shambles. Average Joes were demanding 200 k per week and the keeper who makes more saves with his feet was demanding 350k. How did it all go wrong? Ed Woodward!!!! Players realized they can get a better deal if they run their contracts down and Sanchez was the catalyst.

OGS has to decide the structure of the team-specialist or non specialist or both. You need balance with whatever formation you use. Versatile players opens up options and that could serve as the foundation for future Man Utd teams.
