Funny how you have not done Genting and yet have done Mont Ventoux, assuming that you are based in Singapore like you said before, SG is a flatland, there are no killer climbs to train for here, mount faber is a gentle hill and the nearest thing is Genting, so where do you train for your climb at Ventoux? Care to share your training locations and program?

Mt Faber is not challenging at all compared to the incline at Bkt Timah/Bkt Batok Hill directly opposite the fire-station.

Before my 1st attempt at Gentings, I did 50 climbs non-stop at Bkt Batok Hill.

Keith unreliable? Really? My last time dealing with him was in 1995, he was good, have things changed?

After his divorce, he's become so very cunt-struck. Everyday he sits in front of his pc at his office to watch porno movies.

Poor fella got kicked out of his matrimonial home and now he resides alone in the flat above his bike shop at Lor 29.

His old-man is very wealthy. He owns two residential blocks at Geylang and another block at Balmoral Rd.

Becos of his old man's wealth, Keith doesn't seem to care much about his bike biz.

This I agree. His bike business is his hobby only.

Why no one mention Soon Watt at Kembangan? I think he is more down to earth dealer compared to those yuppy hangouts.

I don't spend much time in Singapore these days and the hot, humid climate coupled with the horrendous traffic volumes makes training in Sinkieland unpleasant to say the least.

I do most of my riding in NZ and in the Sunshine Coast of OZ with periodic pilgrimages to Europe where all the famous climbs are. Genting is hardly the Mecca of the cycling world.

Perhaps he has Bernie Hinault and Johan Bruyneel in his car with Phil Liggett providing commentary:biggrin::p

spending so much money on bicycle is so wrong.

if you cycle for fitness, the heavier the bike, the harder you have to work, so more effective exercise.

if you cycle for competition, well yes, the sponsor pay for it.

spending so much on a bike, that you cannot park anywhere is so wrong.

the heavier the bike, the harder you have to work, so more effective exercise. This wrong! the lighter the bike the better, give you motivation to cycle even more, try one of the Carrefour bike, cheap and heavy see how far can you go??
