Hong Kong is a busier place than Singapore and near gambling den Macau and mainland China, yet Disney Land Hong Kong is still making losses and losing investor monies.

Forecasted 30k visitors a day for Universal Studio is far too optimistic.

"Resorts World hopes to attract some 13 million visitors next year, with 30,000 daily just for Universal Studios."

Sounds too optimistic to me...

Our so called "TOP SCHOLARS" have been missing the point and they keep doing so.

Theme Parks are "PASSE" by today's children standards. The kids and young adults of today are more interested in PC games, not theme park rides.

Only overgrown children in their 40s and 50s that are trying to relive their 2nd childhood are interested in theme parks which were really big in the 80s.

So as usual we have a bunch of people running the country that is very out of touch with reality in more ways than one.

average daily 30k is possible...it will be a "must go" place for tourist...just like disney sea in tokyo and universal studios in osaka...plus the 5mil singaporeans plus ft and malaysians...it is possible..fundamentally...the rides must be good...hk disney doesnt work out well coz the rides arent dat exciting...it's mainly a place for kids...

Jabba is correct. HK Disney rides are totally not exciting at all. They are really for the kids. Teenagers or young adults looking for high adrenaline rides will not want to waste their time there. So in that sense, they have lost this segment of the market.

The whole place needs to be enclosed in a giant dome and aircon 24x7.

The singapore zoo is also another theme park. Instead of hollywood characters, they feature animals. What's so special?

In order to be number one, you got to innovate. Hey phillip yeo, can your billion dollar a*star phds make an animal with the body of a lioness with a tail that ends in a snake's head, the head of a goat arose on her back at the center of her spine?

I would gladly pay $200 to see it running and jumping around.

just go any RC meeting to see the freaks you mentioned. no need to pay $200.
