Los Blancos are hoping to recuperate some of the €165.6 million spent on Kaka and Cristiano Ronaldo this summer...

16 Jun 2009 09:43:12

According to a report in the British broadsheet The Guardian, Spanish giants Real Madrid have offered the services of nine players to clubs in the Premier League.

Los Blancos have already spent big signing Kaka from Milan and are poised to splash out even more cash on Cristiano Ronaldo, who appears set to complete a record breaking move from Manchester United. The combined total of these transactions will come to more than €165 million.

It is thought that Los Merengues are keen to add a striker to their squad, with Valencia's David Villa their preferred choice and Atletico Madrid's Diego Forlan earmarked as a back-up. Meanwhile, the possibility of moving for Bayern Munich's Franck Ribery still remains.

However, it is believed that funds are tighter now at the Santiago Bernabeu and a whole host of players will be shipped out in order to raise more money.

Argentine duo Gabriel Heinze and Javier Saviola, Mali international midfielder Mahamadou Diarra and the Dutch contingent of Klaas-Jan Huntelaar, Ruud van Nistelrooy, Arjen Robben, Rafael van der Vaart, Wesley Sneijder and Royston Drenthe have been made available to purchase.

It has been reported that Juventus are keen to snap-up Diarra, although those claims have recently been quashed.

Meanwhile, The Daily Mirror has linked Tottenham Hotspur with Van Nistelrooy and Sneijder, although The Sun writes that the former's wage demands could scupper any potential deal.

Apparently, Los Merengues are hoping to bring in around €100m (£84.5m) from sales.

Real deny faxing English clubs with transfer list

Real Madrid have denied media reports suggesting they have faxed English clubs a list of players that are available for transfer.

It has been reported that Madrid have contacted a number of Premier League outfits to make them aware of which players are up for sale as the Spanish giants look to make room for the host of new signings they are set to make this summer.

However, Madrid have dismissed those claims in a statement, declaring: "Real Madrid want to categorically deny said information.''

A number of players are expected to leave the Bernabeu this summer though, with new club president Florentino Perez saying earlier this month that around 10 of the senior squad could be moved on.

That clearout is to accommodate the huge summer spending spree that Perez has sanctioned to get Madrid back among the elite of European football, with the club looking to bring in around six new faces.

The first of those, Brazilian ace Kaka, is already in the bag following his £56m move from AC Milan, while Cristiano Ronaldo's world-record £80m switch could have moved a step closer with Spanish media reporting that his agent Jorge Mendes was at the Bernabeu to finalise contract details.

The reports also suggest that Ronaldo could undergo his medical with Madrid next week before being presented at the end of the month, although there is nothing official from the club yet regarding the Portugal international.

Another player being closely linked with Madrid is Valencia striker Franck Ribery with former player Zinedine Zidane claiming negotiations to sign Bayern Munich playmaker are "on the right track''.

Ribery has long been linked with a move to the Bernabeu but his departure from Bayern appeared to hit a snag when the Bundesliga club issued a statement insisting the France international was not for sale.

But Zidane, who was brought in by returning president Florentino Perez as a special advisor at Madrid, has revealed the Spanish giants have not been put off by Bayern's stance.

"The discussions are on the right track,'' he told Le Parisien. "Even if I am not at Madrid today, there are meetings on this matter at the moment,

"Personally, I am for Ribery coming to Madrid and I will do everything to make that happen.

"It's my wish as much as that of the club's president.''

Bayern chairman says Franck Ribery is not one of the players up for sale at the Bundesliga club, despite club president Franz Beckenbauer hinting otherwise.

"We all agree, including Franz Beckenbauer, that we will do all we can to keep hold of Franck,'' he said. "I am quite relaxed about the Ribery issue because nothing can happen without Bayern.

"Even [coach Louis] Van Gaal knows what an exceptional player Ribery is. Franck is one of the best three players in the world and we know what we have in him.''

It will be nice if Man U can buy some of these players :-

Wesley Sneijder to solve the winger issues...
Klass Jan Huntelaar as one of the four strikers rotation policy that Fergie like 2have...

Somehow just get the feeling that Berbatov n Owen will not be sufficient for a long season.. Even with Macheda as backup - he is still young n inexperienced. Huntelaar will also be another option if need a tall striker to play direct ball.

Arjen Robben & Rafael Van Der Vaart will be useful squad players.

Roebben passed the opportunity to play for the Red Devils several seasons ago as far as V.Der Vaart goes, I'd rather hire his wife to inspire the lads if u know wat i mean.
