SINGAPORE - A 46-year-old man was nabbed by police on suspicion of housebreaking on Monday morning (Sept 5), less than four hours after the victim raised the alarm.

The man is believed to have sawed open part of the roof of a shop at Pasir Panjang Wholesale Centre.

The victim made a police report at around 8.20am after she entered the shop and found a computer CPU, cigarettes, and $1,000 in cash to be missing.

After investigations, police arrested the man - who was still at Pasir Panjang Wholesale Centre - around 11.30am. Officers recovered from him some items that had been reported missing from the shop.
